Our friend DjMizuhara just sent us a video of the introduction of Unreal Tournament 3, recently released on Playstation 3. The cinematic seems to be in real-time, but I could be wrong. Feel free to correct me if you know more !

Yeah, don't like the explosions, too. And the animations, like running and aiming, are not good imo.

Err, the animations look kinda iffy, especially the aliens look more rediculous rather than dangerous. Graphics look great, no surprise here.
When is it due to come out for the 360 in europe? Will get that one for sure but I'm not interested in the story at all (guess very few will care about it).

im guessing if ps3 has a decent exclusivity of the title then we wont be seeing this untill around fall 08 on the 360 imo. im buying on ps3 tho, mod suport rules, theres already like 20+ d/l maps (for free) and a ton of mutators giving you shields (ala halo) and a OTS cam (ala gears of war)
mod support needs to be implimented into all games imo, its just as big a deal as online play imo...well, on the ps3 at least since MS dont alow it.

NO, it's NOT REALTIME. There's no load times, the graphics are WAY better than the actual gameplay, and you can SEE THE VIDEO COMPRESSION.
It's prerendered in the engine, and I think Mark Rein said it 'could be done in real time on PS3' but probably at 1 frame every 3 seconds or so.

Watching that just gives me an idea.
They should make a cross over series game.. Unreal Vs Gears..
Those creatures look like a good adversary just like the locusts.. Imagine marcus taking on one of these suckers, or the locusts in the unreal tournament

I don't think it's real time as well. On my pc, it looks like a video, prerendered using the engine as Jigen said. Also, the player models look way more detailed than when playing on max settings

UT ws always such a nice colorful game to me. I really loved this. Now these boring grey and brown and really dark environments.
