i actually think they do... This Frostbite engine seems pretty damn powerfull.. And if wielded right.. It can defenetly turn this game into a leading franchise.. Time will tell..

Id rather prefer 60 fps and worse graphics than framerate like mass effects with wonderful graphics. IF they can pull of COD4 like graphics with a solid framerate and full destructibility, I'm impressed.

I love how they managed to make the cloth look like cloth. Very nice models i must say. Soldiers aren't the most imaginative thing but i appreciate the craft.

Is there a reason all of the thumbnails are centered on the genitals, Snoopers? :P



I like these renders though. Often you can tell something isn't quite right with renders. Usually the lighting is too good so the renders look better than in the real game.
These actually look very representative of the final product though, so that's awesome.
I'm gaining even more respect for DICE nowadays. They've shown they can make an amazing MP game, and their first real foray into SP is shaping up to be just as nice.

Personally 30fps is fine, 60fps is preferable, but I would take the graphics every time.

Mass Effect really crawls sometimes, and I don't find its graphics particularly amazing.

But why would you settle for COD4 graphics at 30fps? The game looks way better in some ways than COD4.

Call of duty anit even 720p HD (rolls eyes) For a FPS i think 60fps is the best...just makes it so smooth :)

In-game assets. Not bad, but the face looks ugly and fake. And I've got too many good games to play to worry about this one. Is anyone buying this thing?

I think its time people start pushing the 360 and ps3, and they can always do sumthin like Bioshock where you could actually turn down the visuals to get better performance. I personally dont mind Mass Effect's frame rate, and I wish more developers would TRULY push these next gen consoles =)

The two things that really eat up the power with Mass Effect are the textures, and the effects. Add the relatively decent level of AA, nice character models, and the other stuff it really pushes the 360.

"This thing?" Are you actually serious? Battlefield2 is for me one of the best games ever, so why wouldn't we expect a great game from Dice?

No.. and I'm sure it will be a solid game--but this is definitely BFMC2. You better believe DICE is working on BF3 as well. An in depth chain of command and kits that actually encourage codependency would make this a great game--or at least it would be a start.
