LucasArts releases four new images of Fracture, Day 1 Studios' action-terraforming game. Visually, it seems to me the game looks better than before. Can't wait for a playable demo!

The problem is, from the screenshots and the videos that have been released, this looks boring. It's my opinion, and I hope it isn't the case, but I see very little to inspire me to even play a demo.

Urghh, I hate games with this kind of graphics. Not that I played alot of it, just seeing too much of them annoyed me enough already.

Yeah I know the art direction this game is going in has been done to death and all, but I think as a consumer, it's kinda counter productive to decide not to play even a demo. What if art direction aside, Fracture turns out to be one of the most inspired games of the year? Not saying that it will, just saying is all. Five minutes of free demo with the right game can change your life, mate.
As for Fracture itself, I'll personally wait until the demo comes out to pass judgment. In the right hands, terrain deformation has all the game play potential of portals, and we saw how well that little experiment worked out.

Anyways, I believe all these crappy 3rd person shooters in 08 is gonna drastically slow the trend after most of them fail.

If the controls aren't as crappy as in Turok on the ps3, then me wants.

After the last few trailers i dropped my hopes that this will be an innovative game.
The lowering/rising of the ground + some shockwaves are really the only 'innovative stuff' you can do (guns and grenades both raise/lower the ground - wow)
All the buildings are non deformable... so they will not be affected by the terraforming at all.
There were other games that did this idea better before (Red Faction), and when Battlefield BC will be released, no one will ask for this game anymore.
Terraforming - o.k., but not really interesting without destructible complexes/buildings.
So i put my hope into StarWars FU to bring some new material physics and destructible environments. Or may be the new Indy game...
