Page 1 2 >>Crap like FFXII? XII was the best Final Fantasy gameplay wise ever. No random encounters, no waiting for crap to start and no little "this is how much crap you got" screen when you win. FFXII was awesome for a jrpg :P
Anyway, let's get back to FF13 ... FF12 is a thing of the past now.
CG is amazingly done, heh, of course, they were payed big big big bucks to create the FF movie that allowed them to be trained extensively by the best.
I hope we will get a big big ending. In my memories the FFVIII ending was more than 10 minutes long, loved that.
Damn! Impressive art .... It's gonna be very hard to resist buying this if the combat is crap like FF12. I may buy it just for the brilliant art and hopefully the great story.
'Till now it looks absolutely fabulous, very great design, as always in FF games. But I want the flair and athmosphere of a FF6 or 7. Those where the best FF games ever. I doubt this will reach that level...

Glad some1 did enjoy it though. For me it was an "ok" game and a major letdown to the series. But again, thats just my personal opinion :p
Demo confirmed for 2008.
The characters on the scans look really generic.
First it was "emo" and now the word "generic".
I never use generic. When I want to explain something about something I don't like about a game, "generic" is the last word I will use for a describtion.
And no, this games characters is not "generic" :S
there are 4 FFXIII titles for the ps3 in the works?
the "normal" FFXIII, FFXIII versus, FFXIII Agito (?), and now this?!
This is possible ONLY on PS3!
Amazign scans!
Not to mention, that ifrit and sirene summons are ingame. =)
PLAY B3YOND!

It's only possible on PS3 because SE want it that way ;)
I like the way Versus is looking, probably won't like the gameplay though if its anything like Kingdom Hearts.

I think this would be possible on PS2... they are cutscene images...

By the way Blim that last scan is Versus .. :)
Well thats your opinion innit, personally I am with Alimo on this one, I don't want to see another MMO style combat engine in a single player FF game again thanks.
Anyway I'll have to get another ps3 when this game comes out.
Really though, in my eyes the combat system in 12 took the regular system, cut all the crap out (like selecting attack over and over, random encounters and so forth) and well...the differens is not huge but it makes the game progress so much smoother. Instead of selecting your commands every turn you just make gambits that take care of it for you. Or rather you just don't have to input the same thing over and over.
