This looks pretty bad. That's about all i can say. What's nice about these pictures though is that they seem to be real shots of the game. no bullshit AA or extra effects.

I'm glad that you Kudgel mentioned the annoying graphics filters used this gen. A few of us used to complain about it but we always were labelled colorful JRPG lovers! oh well ....

I damn right agree with you, I am growing tired of shades of grey. Gameplay-wise though, the game has me convinced so I can forgive that.

This looks cool. After the trailer I'm all in. When gameplay is not to stiff, this is gonna be a day one purchase.

They look great to me apart from pic number 4.VERY true, but we have yet to reach those limitations IMO matey. I still think that there`s a long way to go with these new machines and so far I can see the Ps3 overtaking the 360.

I did hear on the net that Crysis was going to make an appearance on the Ps3, but we`ll have to wait and see. Sony seem to have so much good stuff coming out this year, that the other platforms seem a little shallow in comparison ??? maybe?.

My rig has an overclocked 8800 GTS BFG running@ 636 mhz core (up from 550 mhz and memory @ 1872 mhz) and all I want to play on it is any good future mmorpg and Left 4 Dead (slobbers at the mouth). It just seems as though the pc is a tad dry for 2008 that`s all. Why have alll the power (which never seems `that` much better anyway, when the games simply aren`t out there?.

You may have other tastes than me, but my rig will have to sit happy while content that interests me comes my way :0(

By the time I get to play anything good (after L4D), I`ll be upgrading my rig entirely rofl.

I must admit that I was a skeptic about Resident Evil4 because of the over the shoulder view. But I just recently rented the game for the Gamecube (cough) and dare I say that the game could hold its own right now against any of the Xbox360 or PS3 games. There's no way that you could have played that game without the satisfaction of a triple A title. It was indeed four years ahead of its time and I never could understand why the game was never released for the Xbox which is why it took me so long to finally play the game. It's hard to go back and play the old gen consoles, but Resident Evil4 is an exception. If Capcom released the game on the 360 today, I guarantee it would sell at least 2 million copies. The graphics were good and the gameplay and cinematics are unrivaled. Resident Evil5 will be awesome beyond words.

Well I played it when it was first released and although it was ok it wasn't anywhere near as much fun as the old school RE on the PS1, the fact they got rid of the zombies just made it worse also.

looks kinda cool, after seeing the game at the trailer few days ago i dont think any1 is about to get a disappointing title here...

game gona rox for now all that i see needed to be improved is water and environment lighting effects fixed...and the game will be up to todays standard comparing to current day games

same. its not going to be the best looking console game (uncharted still holds that crown) but it still looks awesome, especially the lighting. its the physics based environmental gamplay that interests me most tho, being able to set a melee weapon on fire and beat a monster to death with it sounds fun as hell. i just hope the enemies arnt too "wacky" looking

*cough* The main character looks alright but the environments does little to impress me. All the jaggies kind of destroy the atmosphere the game might have otherwise.

It looks good enough to me, after watching the trailer with all the dynamic lighting and such. Won't be mind blowing graphics, but the gameplay looked like it would be good enough to carry the game.

i know what u mean but its probly because we have seen so much great PC games coming out like Crysis and FarCry 2 that these kind of graphics all seem bad now. remember how we all looked at Call of Duty 2 and thought it looked amazing way back wen the 360 was just coming out. now look at it again, it doesnt look amazing anymore just OK. same with last gen games. we thought some of those looked amazing and now they all look really bad.

this game looks great for what its on but i don't think console games are going to get any better that this.
