While revamping their job listing website, Team Ico dropped the bomb: nothing less than the first image of Ico 3. The wait begins...

If this is truly a sequel to ICO, then I now HAVE TO GET A PS3. because there is no way that I'm playing this on my room mates Ps3.

Yeahaaaa........ ICO gets another sequel. I'm so happy. Most emotional games, wow. It was such an experience to play both ICO and Shadow... Wow, I imagine ICO with grafx of next-gen... *slobber* Thanks guys, this news makes me really happy ^^

Damn .... this is probably the first game that'll make me buy ps3. Lets just hope they wont mess with gameplay and art direction to much. Fingerz crossed.

well, that just sold that ps3 to me. With GT5 and MGS4 coming and now ICO3 announced how can anyone stay away from the shiny black monolith...

Shadow of the colossus was really the precursor to ICO. It marked the beginning of the horned children.

thought they said Shadow of the Colossus wasnt a sequel, or prequel to Ico, so how can they name this Ico 3?

o well, i still gotta agree this game alone will sell me a PS3.

They weren't direct prequels, but they exist within the same universe so to speak.

I think people are crazy to say this game makes them want to get a ps3, sure MGS4 or FF or even GOW3, but ico making people buy a ps3? lol that sure is a lie.

I can believe people wanting to get it with their ps3, but don't believe this is the game that would solely push someone to get a ps3

I can see gamers buying mgs4 or ff, but ico seems like a game only certain would buy others even rent.. you can't say people would rent out a ff or mgs4

the guys behind ico have on 2 occations created truely beautiful games that go far beyond poly count and textures. they create worlds and characters with charm that manage to captivate way more then any action game or RPG ever could. MGS4 and FF are good games. but they're established franchises. we've played them a thousand times before even if we havnt played that particular itteration (mgs4/FF13)

for a LOT of people including myself, ico and shadow of the colossus where the 2 high points of the ps2's game library. even when the likes of MGS2/3 and FF10/12 etc where on the console as well.

the ico team seem to do what few other people have (bar maybe clover studio's) they create some of the only games i consider "pure"....they have amazing creative minds and nothing seems to get in the way of that.

dev commenteries/interviews always state how there is a constant war and compromise between the designers and the artists, one side want to make a game work, the other wants to make it match their creative vision. the ico team dont seem to compromise on that vision in the slightest. and it shows.

No i don't believe that Team Ico's games ever got the attention they deserve with the mainstream gamers, but then again the mainstream gamers usually have shitty taste. Ico and Shadow of the colossus are two of the most beautiful and captivating games i've ever played, with interesting gameplay to boot. But i agree that "Ico3" is not a system seller. For me it is a system seller, and probably for many other hardcore gamers, but not generally.

I haven't played Ico or Shadow of the Colossus, but I have seen how SOTC is, and it looks amazing.

The scale, the visuals of the colossus punding to take you down, the art, the story and amazing music to keeps everything together....etc.

I know that the next Ico title, I am getting it, especially when its next-gen.

One thing I hope is that I hope there is big ass bosses like SOTC and not like typical looking like Ico.

I didn't even know that SOTC and Ico had any connections until I found out the time was was SOTC comes first and then Ico and now Ico 3.

Anyway, I will keep a sharp eye on the title.

If it is gonna be as good as SOTC turned out, I guess its another reason to own a PS3 I guess.

I really hope they take all the power PS3 got with its visuals combining with its scale of view.

Games like Lair, Heavenly Sword and Ratchet & Clank for PS3 showed great scale, I hope this game takes it cross the line.
