Eidos released this first batch of images of Avalanche Studios' Just Cause 2, and it sure does look good. To be released sometimes in 2008 on PS3, 360 and PC.

Hehe, these screens say "hey look at me, i can look as good as crysis!". Looks fine to me (the smoke/explosions look great!). But they have to get rid of these tree-patterns in the background..

second t last looks better to me. Explosions look veeery convincing. Everything looks great except for the character and vehicle models.

Game looks abso stunning (No doubt we will see a decrease in graphics closer to release as we do in all games)
but great none the less, but the gameplay will still suck as hard as the first ;)

It's funny the first thing I looked at was the vehicles and thought, "well at least it looks better than Just Cause." :)

They really need to work on a few obvious gameplay elements from the first one.
For example, you shouldn't be stronger on foot than in any vehicle, sucks to sustain steady machine gun fire, and then get in a helicopter and get hit once and die when the heli explodes.

this can increase its graphics all it wants, but if it plays one iota like the first i want it as far away from me as possible. they also need to ditch the crappy lock on aiming system. made the game far too easy.

The first one had potential but it was just too flawed too be enjoyable, i hope they do better with this one.
And the enviroments look amazing as always.

helicopter is down because its on autohover and hes hovering ad about to rapel down from the chopter

Loved the first game but this looks mediocre. Almost no improvement in graphics, lots of low resolution textures. Seriously, I expect the game to look much better than this. The explosions and smoke are the worst of all, totally blocky just like Lost Planet.
