Images of Battlefield: BC

Images of Battlefield: BC

EA released these three images of Battlefield: Bad Company, planned to be released this summer on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. DICE are working hard, following the announcement last month of the upcoming Battlefield: Heroes, to be released for free this summer on PC. A cartoony Battlefield game, the console one - now where is Battlefield 3 on PC? Hopefully DICE have the manpower to do all three, plus Mirror's Edge of course.

BF Heroes will probably do stuff like make you pay for the good weapons and shit, knowing EA.

This game is looking good, as usual.

Supposedly PC Gamer has information about Battlefield 3, and it's going to be like Battlefield 2, I think it had a actual shot or two, but it didn't look too amazing (worse than this game for example), but we'll see.

Something about the environments i don't like... Seems like operation flashpoint.

Still looks more than promising

If DICE is making this, who is making BF3? If EA is making DICE do both then its the end of DICE, and if they're (again) making some Canadian hobos make BF3 then its the end of the Battlefield franchise. lose:lose

DICE has worked on nearly every BF game.. hell I think the only core Battlefield game that DICE Canada worked on (which, btw, is a DICE team) is Vietnam. Well, that and Special Forces for BF2--and that was really good--better than their additional booster packs but I don't think that's really all their fault either. Booster packs are just a horrible concept.

There's no way DICE's Swedish staff aren't going to be working on BF3.. but that's not the next BF game for PC's anyway. DICE has always been capable of working on more than one (hell, more than two) products simultaneously. They're working on Mirror's Edge, BF:Heroes, Bad Company, and it's likely that they've started work on BF3 as well.. and it aint the end of DICE.

We're just going to have to wait for the next full Battlefield sequel.

It's so typical, when some developer finally are creating some outdoor environments with green grass and stuff, alot of people complain about it. I'm really tired of all these grey, boring themes that all other games got these days...

This game has always had very good texture work and details.

It's the AA that's incredible here, everything else looks more than doable.

That's a compliment for OFP which was released back in 2001... where it looked flatter :-) No military shooter has given me the same satisfaction as OFP did 7 years ago. Even the Xbox-version still stands above so-called military games as GRAW etc. I'm not talking gfx here, i'm talking OFP made you believe you were fighting a war. It's level of simulation in unsurpassed anno 2008. Too bad Bohemia Interactive isn't on the sequel. These guys deserve a medal of honour.

They made ArmA (which I didn't think was very good) and they're making ArmA 2, so they're continuing their legacy, just under a different name. It would be interesting (and it's not so impossible) if Operation Flashpoint 2 is better than ArmA 2.

I just don't get why this game had to get pushed back a whole year.. to 2009.

That to me just seems crazy. But let's just hope it means a much better game that works flawlessly.

Woah.. 2009? Must have missed that. I sure hope DICE at least announces BF3 this year. A lot of people wanted to see it in 2008, but I don't think that's very likely. Still, an announcement with some design details and a screenshot or two would be very welcomed.

hmm thats fucked up... well maybe they dont want to rush ... let's say that the team gave them that dealine themselfs in order not to rush things... they say to themselfs like "hey no rush we've got a year!" and everything flows perfect.. and suddenly the game is finished.. but it didn't take them so much time untill 2009... maybe this game will be a christmas present .. im sure veryone will wish and buy for them selfs XD
