The game is still horrible. And since i am not of the ones who appreciate the gameplay that much i will pass... it s odd the games of that serie sell like hotcakes in japan. To each his own i guess.

First words to come out my mouth when i looked at the screens "Oh my god".

The graphics are just completely disgusting, it seriously would not look out of place on the playstation 2, but 3? Hell no, i mean look at the models, i know nothing about modeling or the terms to describe a crap model so i'll say this "they must have like 2 polygons in them!" i have no idea what that means but im sure i cant be that far off, and the textures are equally terrible.

Never has a franchise ruined itself so greatly, crap visuals and gameplay mechanics that haven't changed in years, you'd think after their last game bombed they would have made some changes, but obviously they didn't get the idea.

Yeah both models and environments have very low poly counts it would seem, and the textures are rather low-res as well. To sum it all up neatly, it looks like shit.

Has Koei ever delivered anything above average? I wonder because anytime I see the name Koei pass by it's always associated with crap and looking at the games I've seen from them, as far as I can tell, I'd have to agree.

That Fatal Inertia game (demo) was of the worst I've ever played, and the Dynasty Warriors series have never looked all that interesting imo. Oh well, they haven't gone bankrupt yet so I guess they must be on to something (whatever the hell that may be).

imagine if this game had no jaggies, better animation, high res textures, higher poly count, better particle effects, and better sound...the game might actually be moderately average then.

ill get it, ill def get it, hope it builds further on sw2, sw2 has the best engine imo, better ( but not better looking ) then gundam warriors, but def the most feature rich one.

The only thing this game serie truthfully need is just Online CO-OP, it's not about grapics it's about having fun with friends playing it, granted it still works if you have them home at you, sadly most of my friends lives to far away to do this more often then once a year.

Awesome! Big fan of the series and its endlessly hypnotising combat. It's great to be able to ask someone who's played it first hand a few things.

I've been a bit worried about the cast of characters, as it's difficult to tell by videos and whatnot whether they're all in there. Do most faves return? Specifically is Zhou Yu in there?

Secondly, do you know if there'll be an Empires edition of this, or does it seem to be too "thorough" to recieve editions like the old ones did?

Zhou Yu is here. Look up, Gamersyde posted some pics of him. The only characters that don't return are: Jiang Wei, Xing Cai, Pang De, Da Qiao, Meng Huo, Zhu Rong & Zuo Ci.

As for Empire there is no news yet. Maybe a DLC in the future?

Normally I've been waiting for the Empires versions of the games lately because they add a completely new layer of strategy and purpose to the game, but I'm really too curious about this to wait.

About the images I often access this site through the forum which strips the front page of its content. But yeah, feel silly now for not spotting him. :D

They haven't really ditched any of the characters I care about so that's good.
