Interesting stuff, the video itself is a little dark, it was hard to make out the character model differences at all.

I love that liquid metal effect with the viscosity, I'd rather be fighting blobs like that than locus hordes any day.

If they get all this tech in GeoW2 than that's awesome, but I don't trust these tech-demos anymore. I'll believe it when I see it in the retail game.

man thats cool, water is on par with Halo 3 only with better reflections, soft body physics look pretty incredible (that blob of metal or w/e was pretty rad), and hopefully more enemies means the gameplay will be a bit different
and destructable cover? hmmmmm....as long as its not like that john woo game where everything will destroy shit from a pistol to a minigun
All they need is some weapons up to UT standards and Gears 2 will kick more ass then pretty much anything in the world =)

That water with the bridge thing is one of the multiplayer maps on Gears 1 if i'm not mistaken.

4 player co-op, more weapons, a more in-depth story, plus all the things presented in the UE3 tech demo, and this game will be absolute class.

Not that I want to get bouletted, but I just have to say it (please don't, this needs to be said). This video just owned a LOT of Sony fanboys, especially the ones who claimed Gears 2 would only be Gears 1 with new maps with absolutely no improvements, because, obviously, Gears 1 already used ZOMG 100% of the 360's power. Talk about eating humble pie. UT3 who?

i have a feeling that gears of war 2 will suck. i'm positive it will be the best looking game out on the 360 but will be shitty in gameplay. just saying this because they havn't really spent that much time on the second game and its going to be released soon. unless it gets delayed which seems to be all the rage these days. i think gears of war 2 will be nothing more then a game built to show off the new graphics engine.

While I love GeoW, it was extremely repetitive and as a result, I find myself not enjoying it as much with each consecutive playthrough. Hopefully they find a way to change up the gameplay a bit.

Exactly. I really think that Epic can pull this off and do it good too :)

With excellent planning and a good grasp of the hardware, developers can deliver a AAA game within two years. Insomniac does this year after year and there is no reason for Epic not to be able to do this. GeoW 2 will be AAA calibur.
