GDC: Cameron Suey Interview

GDC: Cameron Suey Interview

Snoopers and his buddy Bryan did not just stare at the props lying around at Lucasarts's main office, they also took the time to record this pretty nice interview of Cameron Suey, producer of Star Wars: Force Unleashed.

Dunpeal, first, try avoiding double posting. Then, try to avoid posts which are offensing. Thanks.

What a shame my first ever thread on here and I bump into ignorance personified. Things can only get better from here though!

Welcome Sparta2310. People usually act pretty decent around here so don't be alarmed by Dunpeal behaviour. It doesn't happen often.

was a good interview, and this guy was nice enough to take the time and give us all info on the game which i think is a pretty cool thing to do.

thats was one of the things that worried me about the game, was the easyness it looked on videos, didnt look difficult,
by the way was the camera hidden, looked like it was in a pocket or bag!!!lol
good stuff

Great interview! Just the kind of thing that makes me love Gamersyde.

When you were asking about challenge, I couldn't help but think about the last level of Half Life 2 and what a joy it was to feel so overpowered. Although challenge needs to be there, I hope there are plenty of low level minions that you can just utterly destroy and cut through once you level up. :)

Poor guy, you could tell the camera guy was bugging the hell out of him xD Awesome stuff, cannot wait for this game =)

Emergent moments huh, I guess one will have to play through the game several times before noticing stuff like that. Sounds good though, shows how much of a difference their core engines make. It can only heighten the replay value from here and on.

What's up?
  • Megido
Megido @Doom_Bringer: do you really think one bad review is going to have that much of an impact on a game that has a 91 on metacritic? (20 minutes ago)
  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer @GriftGFX: it hurts the developer and sales...are they likely to make another if the game scores bad? Edge sucks (29 minutes ago)
  • GeRaLTo
GeRaLTo @Baleur: 80% of reviews are written by "drones" .Ign, eurogamer, teamxbox, gamespot etc are nothing but companies. Who cares 'bout theirs "reviews" anyway (1 Hour ago)
  • Baleur
Baleur Why are you discussing reviews anyway? When have reviews ever mattered? They are just individual people writing about their individual opinions. Might as well read reviews on music too then, lol XD (4 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX pfft text! we only care for numbers (5 Hours ago)
  • blmbox
blmbox Yeah, but judging by the content of both reviews, Eurogamer didn't particularly care much for the game anyway. They probably only gave it an 8 to avoid controversy - the review sounded more like a 6. (9 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX 6 to 8 split on Eurogamer, which isn't quite as large but still pretty significant. (10 Hours ago)
