Namco-Bandai has released some screenshots from Tales of Vesperia to Japanese websites, now found on Watch. Unfortunately, it was revealed in Famitsu that the game won't feature online co-op, making the whole Live community a giant sad panta.
really tight art style! BTW I doubt this will ever come to PS3... Namco hates PS3 now, Sony stole their top programmers (that's why they had difficulty in the beginning, Frame City Killer/early tekken 6 tech) and now they focus mostly on 360
I have no doubt that it will eventually be released on the PS3, however I wouldn't put faith in a very poorly translated sentence. It's nothing but jiberish, you could read that to mean almost anything.

Is it just me or does these screenshots look blurry?
Could it be a bloom effect?
It's focus/gaussian blur. The same effect is used in Blue Dragon to show distance between the characters and the background. Some love it, some hate it.

Ah nice,
i hope they make the graphics ALOT better for PS3. this doesnt look next gen. at all.
A little hard for this game to be next gen considering the PS4 and Xbox 720 aren't out yet. Care to elaborate how a cell-shaded game could look any better than this?

Sony did something similar to Sega. They poached half of Team Andromeda and created Polyphony! :( In case people don't know, poaching is HIGHLY frowned upon in the videogames industry, or at least it was when I was working. I'm sure most companies have anti-poaching clauses in their contracts by now but then again if a really big company poaches employees from another company then they'd probably pay for those employees' settlements if the employees get sued by their original employers.

yea reminds of the EA vs Ubisoft case where EA stole some of the Splinter Cell team to work on their Montreal studio (Army of TWo)

Lack of Co-op is no surprise though.
