Infinite Undiscovery scan

Infinite Undiscovery scan

Infinite Undiscovery is the other big console project of Tri-Ace, and since it's been 6 months since we last heard anything about this game it's quite nice to see something new. Still, I'd like to see some gameplay now.

:O if those cutscenes are in engine, its looking even better than before.

I would imagine this game is almost finished, hopefully we will see a JP release at the end of the year.

I hope it does not try to rely on emotion for the story (aerith dying kinda poo) just sick of it ever since bloody FF7 very try and make some bullshit scene hoping the player will cry
Yes i cry... but all for the wrong reasons.

Let's hope they put in an emotional story like that of Aeri's'. X)
('th' is pronounced as 'S' in Japanese language. When they translated the game in English, they named her Aeris so that the rest of the world can pronounce her name the right way.) Her original name is 'Earith' Gainsborough, wich is the rough equivalent of Aerith. If you rearrange both of her names (Aerith/Earith) you will get 'I Earth'. So the people who played FF7 know what this refers to. X)

Well, an emotional story every now and then can't hurt. In fact, it will be very well enjoyed by me.

I’m looking forward to this one. It looks good and I’m curious about the real time combat system without combat screen. Though I disliked FFXII for the same reason I think a more action based approach like StarOcean might suit something like that better.

Well the game is being made by Tri-Ace :P the creator of Star Ocean so be ready for some action based game play.

You can't have a great RPG without emotional, memorable scenes. This is something western developers will never understand. I don't know what to expect from this game, but if it's anything like Eternal Sonata or Lost Odyssey I'm onboard. I cried less than an hour into both those games. (Yeah I'm emo like that.)

What does the article say? I can't really say I'm interested in the story. Seems like the average JRPG "I fight for my friends" story, but the gameplay seems interesting.

Cliché? Not even 2% of all games try to make players cry. Thats not cliché.

Nobody know Oo, perhaps its got canned, although I doubt it, SE just like to keep their fans in suspence.

Not kingdom hearts. Expect real-time, but actually good and not bad like it was done in ff12 :)

Me too, although I suppose it's a fair argument that it might've been better suited to an official Vagrant Story sequel, which it essentially was as far as story/world goes.

  • digi_matrix
digi_matrix Paranormal Activity was insane, totally deserves being the most profiting indie film ever made. I saw the original version, not the theatrical one. WAY BETTER! (6 Hours ago)
  • SimonM7
SimonM7 Nope, no such prestige I'm afraid. Just 1½ year of comic making and ICQ channel community on quakenet of all places. :) 2002 doesn't sound far back but it's soon 8 years ago. Time sure does roar past. (12 Hours ago)
  • Megido
Megido Did you make comics and stuff for kong back in the day? The art looks similar :) (13 Hours ago)
