Alpha Protocol unveiled

Announced by Sega and Obsidian last month, Alpha Protocol is now officially unveiled with a pack of screenshots showcasing the main character of the game, Michael Thorton. We still don't really know what this game is gonna be, but looking at the developer we can expect something between RPG and action. The game is planned to be released next year on X360, PS3 and PC.

That's the same impression I got :p

If these screens are anything to go by, then the game might have stealth elements too.

edit: On second thought, wall hugging doesn't really mean stealth.. but what the heck..

Well, if it's obsidian i'll keep an eye on it. Untill i get some more juicy tidbits on the gameplay i can't have much of an opinion. I like that the screens at least look like actual screens, not some photoshop job or a render :P

Hm. Might be interesting. Unfortunately, Obsidian have earned a reputation of being forced to ship out unfinished games, KotoR 2 and Neverwinter Nights 2, so it may happen yet again.

While true, I'm still willing to give them the benefit of the doubt for now. Hopefully this turns out better than their previous efforts. Aren't they working on another RPG right now as well?

The screens scream out Mass Effect, but the game was one of the best games i've ever played, so im not complaining.

Screen 3 looks a bit odd, dunno if it's AA or bizarre texture resolution. The others look great and the second one in particular looks very atmospheric!
