Mercenaries 2: World in Flames had completely disappeared since its delay a few months ago, but now that its release date finally seems to be set in stone for August 31 in the US, EA released this brand new trailer showing more of the story and characters.

Wow, I never quite got into the first mercs game but I know I'll picking up Mercs 2 for sure. Looks amazing.

I was very excited about this game last year, but after it's numerous delays, I've lost pretty much all interest, especially now that it's coming out in September, along with basically every other game this year.

Awesome visuals...
I mean being a game that utilizes stream-loading like GTA, this game puts GTA4 to shame. Character models are great, so are the environments. And especially with all that destroyable environment and physics going on... I read once they're also making a PS2 version of this game too!!!

Yes you're right, why doesn't it look like COD4 or something. I mean what difference does it make if one game is a corridor shooter with tiny environments and the other is a sandbox game with massive open landscapes.........

I hated the first one, thought it was overhyped!! I kept getting lost and it took too much time to reach the bases (north korean, south korean, UN hq etc) but this looks great!! And it seems it has a story this time around! YAY
