Oh i like that map, i see potential for some really pesky turret strongholds (and how to sneak past them as a spy)

Valve is really giving this game some serious lovin. The medic is getting some serious upgrades, and I think/hope the other classes will follow suit in future updates.

You play this Grift? I loved the core game play on 360 but could clearly see that the game, and the community(non-existant), is superior on PC. I'll be playing this on my new rig in a few weeks.

Strange memories on this nervous night in Las Vegas. Has it been five years? Six? It seems like a lifetime.

Not too often.. but I think I may be putting the breaks on COD a bit.. so perhaps I'll start playing it a bit more.

New weapons:
Posted by ShackNews
The Blutsaugher
For players that earn one third of the 36 new medic achievements, they will be given a new syringe gun. Called "The Blutsaugher," this new weapon no longer has the ability to score critical hits against an opponent. Instead it will draw health from enemies each time a syringe hits. Especially useful as a weapon to retreat away from the fight while staying alive.

The Critzcrieg
Once a medic has earned two thirds of the achievements, they will be granted "The Critzcrieg." This new medigun uses its ubercharge not for invulnerability, but to give its recipient 100% chance to fire critical ordinance. Medics and the player they are charging need to be careful though, because as much fun as it is to fire critical rockets as fast as you can, the other team will see what you're up to and try to put a quick stop to your plan.

The Ubersaw
For the determined medic that has earned all 36 of the new achievements, they will find themselves the proud owner of "The Ubersaw," which will take damage done in melee attacks and convert it directly to ubercharge. Four hits with this new weapon will fully charge whatever medigun the medic has equpped.
And as the descriptions suggest, 36 new achievements for the Medic.

edit: I just looked at the achievements. Unlocking the Ubersaw is going to be hard.

The medic changes are fucking dumb. Ruining the delicate balance. The new maps are cool, but I hope they don't port the gameplay changes to the 360 version...

That's not going to happen. Assuming that they continue to support TF2 for the 360, it will see the same changes. I'm positive that Valve has done loads of testing for the new medic weapons, and it's likely that every class is going to get a simular update down the line. Many TF2 players have said that medic's needed such an update.

And if you think this new material will be difficult to balance, Valve is considering entirely new classes in the future as well.

Valve are awesome developers, they know what needs to be done and what doesnt. If the change left imbalance then they wouldn't do it.. They know whatt they are doing :) Plus its good.. means the game will get changes to keep it worth while playing.. WoW wouldnt be played if the classes didn't get improved.
