Xbox 360 PS3

Ten months after its official release, Codemasters' mythologic action game Rise of the Argonauts strikes back with a vengence and a big bunch of images. Visually, the game has gone through a dramatic upgrade and now looks stunning, both technically and in terms of design. We can't wait to see more about it. The game is planned to be released on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 at the end of the year.

Lots of these kinds of games are suddenly popping up... First God of War, then Conan, Viking, and now this! Next up: Golden Axe. And that's really the only one I care about.

w00t! awesome :) If this game turns out to be crap, I would probably still buy it. After all it's Jason and the argonauts!!! :D

Argonauts is more western RPG than action genre.

uhmmm

how exactly is this game looking "stunning"? textures are bland and undetailed....there is hardly any serious normal mapping and bump mapping...lightning is so so....anatomies are almost old gen

I know, this does have a strong whiff of 300 to it (now if they could get the digital properties for that and bring on some serious context-based combat, then I would be VERY interested!)

This looks cool, I think half the textures are still placeholders, so not too worried. I love the story (and the Harryhausen film), so this'll be a purchase!

This game is gonna be good read about it in a PSN magazine months ago, the things they're doing feature-wise are gonna make this game stand out.

Yeah, been waiting so long for news to this game.
looks good, but not as good as the first images they showed up (who wonders ^^)
Really looking forward to this, 'caus the whole saga around Jason is just too cool.
Hope there will be the more than famous skelett-scene from the classic film. ;o)

It sounds strange just saying it, but this game looks better in stills than it does in motion. Hopefully they'll be beefing up the animations from what was in the trailer.

It has a half naked female protagonist. That's all it needs for some people. I wouldn't assume that it's going to be bad though, but I realize it bares a SEGA badge so that's exactly what some people will be keen to do.
