Much of the stuff they seem to think very "inventive" and special i just find to be obvious. Like how you would create a backstory for a character and actually write some history for the game world.I mean...it's not like this is the first game to ever have a main character with a past. (Also i laughed a bit when he piled the clichés about the main characters back story what with the parents and all while seeming to be amazed at the creativeness of it. lol)

Yes, these devs are so full of bullshit most of the time...especially in their diaries. But there was one thing in the previous diary that I really digged. It was when they mentioned that the moment they "turned off the gravity" in the game and all debris was floating about, it really helped create that creepy atmosphere. I totally got that vibe as well when they showed that in the diary.
Also, the graphics are stunning! Some complain about generic art, but I just don't see that. I think it looks fresh and awesome! Only thing I worry about are the environments. They better not fuck up in that area.

If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If my fate is to die, I must simply laugh.

Not impressed. The main character moves like a old man with artritis. The weapon is stupid. The shockeffects are really cheap. When I saw the developpers talking, I had the feeling that even they didn't like what they are making, but are forced to say amazing things about the game.

Somebody else but me get the idea that the devs were inspired by the Film Event Horizon? Thats what the atmosphere feels like for me....

it looks amazing and i just can´t wait to put my hands on this game. I hope it´s really a survival/action game and not only an action game where you´ll spend 90% of your time killing monsters. I want exploration and puzzles and a good story.

And i found this "KillSwitch/RE4/Uncharted/GTA4/etcetc" system, pretty abused...
If it is like GTA4, inserted in a much bigger gameplay mechanic, it's ok, but when it's(this case, it seems)the gameplay main column, well, i see it as a lack of imagination...wich is boring...
'course the game has to come out yet, so it's just an impression for now :D
And, as you said, the monster design too, is not that great...
Also, i notice that generally, the most fancy this devs diary look, the crappier the game is(i think about Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness now) XD
oh, and sorry for my bad, bad spelling, i'm not English/American. :)

interesting, but again let's wait and see. It does look a bit like Resident Evil 1 in space! Which is not a bad thing at all...

I hope its not always the same with the monsters. Find new corridor, see monster on floor, monster stands up, you shoot it and all that continuously. Seems boring
