Xbox 360 PS3

After some long months of just getting the same few images, EA finally released a video showing Mirror's Edge in motion. And it definitely was worth the wait, impressive stuff!
Also we are beta testing the service of our prospective partner for hosting the stream, so please let us know if the stream was smooth for you or not!

The graphics are incredible with vibrant colors and a great art style. It reminds me of a more realistic Crackdown.

Looks great, and to those not believing a first person action game can be this convincing should boot up an ages old game named BreakDown by Namco.

Mirrors Edge is blending Assassins Creed with Breakdown as I see it. Not a bad cocktail at all. Nice stuff.

I don't see why you would run through the street considering the storyline and occupation of the main character.
I'm not quite up-to-date on the storyline, or her occupation. But you've made me curious now. What exactly is it that makes sense for her life to be non-existant on ground level?

As mentioned in the post right above you, that game you refer to is "Breakdown". And no, it was nothing like this. Not in terms of fluidity nor was it in terms of immersion.

It being from EA... I'm really holding judgement on if I'd be interested in it or not.

Good stuff. Who knew EA could still publish something interesting?
Don't worry, it's DICE developing.

AWESOME! Can't wait! All I worry about is motion sickness, if it will be bearable for me then it will be a amazing game!

+ART!
+JUMPY GAMEPLAY!
+FAITH IS COOL CHARACTER!

= I think we have a next contender for game/art debate... or anyway I think I'll have great fun with this one! :)

Out of all the 'mega' publishers I think EA has by far the best lineup. They seem to put a lot more focus on trying to establish new franchises than any of the other big publishing guns that seem vomit out even more shovelware and sequels than EA these days. ActiBlizzard whatever is on the corporate/shareholder highway straight down to hell... you just watch.

Jato

She's a freerunner so naturally her obstacles would be more inclined to here being on buildings most of the time because that's where all the exciting jumps and faster routes would be. She delivers packages, obviously for some secret underground movement as the plot device, and if she was running amongst the crowd then there would be a 99.999999....% chance that there would be hundreds of people that would be able to identify her and thus making what she does mute. O and there are cameras everywhere because of them leaving in a totalitarian society.

It's probably set in England. (I'm not even going to add a lol.) The graphics look awesome and it definitely reminds me of Breakdown. I hope they reveal more of what you actually have to do in the game though. The stream works fine here too by the way.

Yea I notice that a lot. Because they're using simple environment maps instead of WAY more complicated effects. Would be an amazing detail. Maybe they could do a simple reflection, like just reflecting the character on just surfaces you go right up against like the one in the video.

Looks good and I see some useful stuff for the Six-Axis.
Yet I’ll wait and see if this balance thing outweighs the ergonomic advantages of the 360-controller before declaring which version I might consider to buy.
Any way a very interesting art style and game play concept.

I don’t take DICE as a warranty of quality. Kojima Production yes, DICE no.

I think six-axis would be too complicated with all the stuff you have to take into account around you. Can you imagine Wii version though? Lol! You'd look like a fucking freak in your living room!
