Good call. The explosions are horrible. Too short and small. Not much of an impact at all. It looks more like an orange mist than a fire ball. They need to use some colored diffuse mapping on the particle sprites and not just some solid colors of orange. Looks too plain. I've never seen anyone do fire or explosions like the way they are in this game.

i like the explosions, just because the smoke from said explosion hangs in the air a lot longer then they do in most other games. far more realistic imo. game looks brill, the more i see the more i cant wait.

wow....from this vid this is the only fps Ive seen which is graphically up there with crysis... which Ive completed using cubans custom config level 4 settings...equivalent of very high

I'm happy they've been able to retain, and perhaps improve upon, the graphical quality of the game in the current build, thus far. I've noticed that many games start off looking great, but then peter off into crappiness as they get closer and closer to release. We haven't seen that downward trend with Killzone 2; every time we see it, it looks great.

To bad it's delayed again, now until 2009.. I would have loved to see this go head to head with Gears of War 2 end of this year.. To comparable games I think on the 2 main competing gamingplatforms..

Yeah, I'd like to see that too, Inflatable. Even though I only own a 360 and a PC (I'm planning on getting a PS3 some time in the future, perhaps this summer after I build my new PC) and I think that KZ2 would MURDER Gears 2. However, I haven't seen anything of Gears, so I could be wrong. I'm thinking it's most likely going to be Gears of War 1.5, though.

I don't think Killzone 2 will come even close to what Gears 2 will be. Did you see the new tech they were demo-ing? Epic Games is probably one of the leading companies right now as far as next generation developments.
This game looks like it offers nothing new and I have little faith after what the original was like.

Everyone is going to hate me for this, but after seeing the last two gameplay vids on here, I think Killzone 2 reminds me a lot of Perfect Dark Zero. Bad AI, bad animations, graphics are WAY too clean and at times strangely shiny.

Well I only watched the stream, since my computer is too slow to fully run hd. And im too lazy to stream it to my xbox360.
And it reminded me of Timeshift. There's something about that game, can't point my finger on it.

That's it, as a fan of Killzones artwork, fan of it's amazing orchestral score...I am amazed how it looks and sounds and feels.

From the videos I watched it seems they have polished the aiming, shooting, bullet speed, hit detection that I thought sucked on the first one, very great and i believe I don't have to worry about that anymore.!

This game is gonna be epic, and is the only FPS I am waiting for.

And this is so early build that knowing they got another entire year to make it better for 2009 title I can't wait to see it when they have added so much more to it.

Rico? if so, why did they give Rico dreadlocks? I liked him when he had short hair.

Tinks: Too clean? Bad animations? Jeezus, just what the hell are you talking about? The graphical detail is amazing, and everything looks appropriately gritty and dirty to me. And the animations are excellent too, especially the death animations which are some of the best in any FPS I've seen so far.

It doesn't look like you're watching the same trailer everyone else is.

Watch the previous two movies of them actually playing the game that were posted earlier instead of some scripted trailer with selected footage put together purposely to wow you
