Famitsu had a huge feature of Resident Evil 5 this week, presenting a lot of new info. According to translations the article states that a new trailer will be published soon, and the images in it is from this trailer. A new female character is shown and some creatures that looks very much like some from the previous games in the series.

Who's the lady with the shotgun ? it cant be claire redfield ... she doens look anything like her. besides, she looks like she escaped from a JRPG ... her character design just doensnt fit to be honest. Other than that, the game Looks HOT!!!!

hmm only played RE4 on wii and LOVED it, mainly cos the aiming on a shoot em up is one of the best on wii, and it's generally a very fun game, but it has seemed to lost its horror roots andturned more into a survival action game, o well hopefully it's an awsome game still.

Jill is supposed to be in this game only as guiding voice over the headset.
Other than this Sherry Birkin is supposed to appear again. She was infected with the G-Virus developed by her father in Resident Evil 2 and was taken into custody by Wesker in the aftermath of the Raccoon City incident. As Resident Evil 5 is set to be 10 years after Resident Evil, Sherry would be 22 years old in the game.
Then again it could also be Clair or a new character.
Anyway I like what I see.

OK, I'm a huge Resident Evil fan and I can't wait for more. The trailer will be godly.
I'm considering not watching it for total surprise...wonder if I will be able to.

I'm really excited about RE5 too! It looks awesome..!
It indeed looks like psycho's with chainsaws are back... ánd bad-ass helicopter action, like in RE4..!
Played 4 to death, this makes me wanna play it even again, haha!

Black girl as one of the main characters...and in a Japanese game? You loco. She's obviously tanned (no surprise given the game's setting). Also, according to the translation at NeoGAF, she's a completely new character--most likely the one whose eyes we saw at the end of the last trailer.
Anyway the game looks awesome as ever. I just can't understand how people can be disappointed that it won't play like something from 1996. I grew up with RE too, and there's nothing I like more than when a series evolves.
