Electronic Arts released this new trailer of Dead Space, showing a bit more of the game than previously seen. Sure seems scary! Update: Image gallery added.
I haven't been interested in this game before, but it seems to have a good atmosphere and i love survival horror. Still this is not for me, it's just something about it i don't quite like....
Instead of calling it "RE4 in space" or "Doom meets RE4" I'll just not compare it to anything and just call it unique. I have no clue where comparisons to Halo came from.

YingYang, I gotta be honest, your statement sucks... We have yet to play this game and you say this? For one thing the developer say that ammo and such will be hard to aquire in Dead Space, already one difference in gameplay. I dont recall worrying about running out of ammo in any of the Dooms or Halos. Dead Space is third person, Doom is not and Halo is it only part of the time and rarely on foot. Then there is zero gravity. Doom? Halo? As daemons have not been confirmed for Dead Space the comparison with Doom does not hold, for now at least! Unless you were refering to an actual merging of the Doom and Halo franchises your statement is just nonsense.
As for Dead Space I am very interrested in it and keep up on as much as I can. I think it oozes with a mysterious... feeling that also reminds me of Event Horizon. I wonder what abilities Isaac have using his "engineer" suit? As for the suit, I like it. I prefer space marine(adeptus astartes that is) power armour, but I still like Isaac's outfit.
One more thing. I dont know how to post links so this will have to do: If you are interested in the game check out gametrailers.com and search for Dead Space. Once you are in Dead Space(-You never leave!) scroll down and watch the animated comic. It is... well, an animated comic with voice-overs. It seems to add some background. That's all for now.

What's wrong with that? We wouldn't have some of our best FPSes, or any games for that matter, if people didn't steal the best parts of previous games and build upon them.

The environment it's look same DOOM III.
Camera it's look same Resident Evil4.
such as bloodstain and be left uncultivated location inside the spaceship (DOOM III) but this game is 3rd person.(RE4) it's should be great but I hate EA company because it's has takeover game studio such as Bioware and it trying to takeover Take2 studio agains. So EA it's had better to make a game platform(be sarcastic :P) thx you for the video ^_^
It's AWESOME, lots of gameplay parts in this one and i can't wait for this game anymore. The graphics look great in that video, the trailer for some reason kinda sucks in terms of quality, but the link i provided goes to Gametrailers TV with LOTS of stuff and footage from Dead Space, WATCH IT!!!!

I think this is the way you should think about new games: What does it allow me to think, feel and do as opposed to "Oh, it stole from this game" and "Eww, EA is behind it?! It suck balls!!1!". For instance...
World War 2 games. There is a lot of them, perhaps too much. Regardless they have one thing in commen: they have their tongues this high up the americans asses. Tired setting but with an interresting twist: what would it be like to play as the germans? The allies knew that in an equal fight the german soldiers would win, so you would be playing with at least some abilities and seeing as the germans were outnumbered you would get a challange worthy of a gamer(I was THIS close to buying Company of Heroes's expansion). To get back on topic:
To me gaming is about problem solving according to your interests. Sci-fi allows for zero gravity that in turn allows for outlandish puzzles and combat for instance. Outside you can breathe most anywhere on Earth, but outside in Dead Space... not so much.
This is allready too much of a rant so I'll try to end it. The bottom line is when you see a new game try to see what options it brings regardless of genre before screaming "it stole from this" or "it's made(published) by those". You just might be surprised!

But yes the game seems to be unique, I like the part you can shoot the enemies limbs off, legs, arms...etc.
I just hate the helmet though, looks boring.
