The Agency trailer

The Agency trailer

Sony Online Entertainment released this new trailer of The Agency showing some of the game's characters in action. What's more surprising though is the lack of Playstation logo at the end.

Yes, very surprising. I wouldn't be surprised if this Sony Online Entertainment game will go multiplatform and wh0re itself out to all available platforms including the Nintendo DS. That will definitely be followed by a HALO3 PS3 port.

I wouldn't jump to conclusions of it coming to 360 in any form, PC goes without saying I would imagine.

Wouldn't be a surprise if it hit PC first for the huge amounts of balancing and beta testing an MMO usually requires. With a PC version they can patch it every single day if need be, but with the PS3 version they will have to submit every patch for certification.

It's an MMO where you're a hired assassin, or something similar.

No monthly fee, there will be a fair amount of advertisements though.

If you think that looks like a PS2 game you should, A get your eyes tested and B stop playing games.

It doesn't look too bad at all for an MMO.

pretty cool trailer. I hope it still comes out toward the end of the year, or at least some kind of open beta.

this game is coming out on ps3 and pc, like numerous 360 games. I don't think I have seen this much on ps3 but in recent interviews with the team didn't act as if it was something new.

Based on what I heard about the actual gameplay, I don't think this could be called a real MMO (it's more like Guild Wars, PSO, or something like those). I'm not very interested in this one.

I hope SOE makes a new Everquest that's PS3/PC, I mean I doubt I'd want to play any MMO as much as I liked the original EQ, but I'd rather play a new EQ than WoW or Age of Conan (which is still coming to 360).

As far as what's actually announced, Champions Online seems cool, and I liked City of Heroes, at least for a while. I'm willing to take another go at that game.

Since this is a internally developed Sony game, I don't think they'll submit it through the same level of scrutiny as third party games.

With MMOs MS or Sony will 'give up' a lot of their QA. Simply because they understand the MMO developers need more room.

Anyone know what patches FFXI on 360 has gotten for example? I doubt MS tests those.

Character design and settings aren't that interesting but the concept is interesting.

To me it looks like Perfect Dark Zero with better animations.

The hairstyles and the way the clothes looks reminds me of Everquest 2's graphics.

Some of PDZ's environments were absolutely gorgeous though.

MMOs and free roaming sandbox games do graphics differently for a reason. Not even Age of Conan can look as good as Crysis. At least, not yet.

this game will only worth a shot before SOE start releasing UPdates then the game is screwed..just like Start wars galaxies.

For a sanbox MMO, it looks rather nice. There wasn't a whole lot of gameplayvideo, but what was there looked okay.

  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer @GriftGFX: well Dragon age extracted is suppose to be arround 20 gigs but the download was only 8 gigs or 15 gigs...procedure might be different for newer games (10 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX 45 minutes for this game would have to be like... 3+ megabytes per second. My Comcast can't do that. (25 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX My FFOW DL is almost 12.9 gigs and like 95% done. (27 minutes ago)
