Ubidays: Far Cry 2 trailer

Ubidays isn't supposed to start until tonight (7 PM CET), but it looks like Ubisoft wanted Far Cry 2 to have a head start with this new trailer. It certainly looks impressive.

It looks cool.. it's not quite as ZOMG CRYSIS KILLER as some people suggest though. I have a very reserved amount of faith in Ubisoft's abilities to craft compelling FPS titles, or shooter/action titles in general. It's good enough looking to warrant some attention though. I'll be keeping my eyes on this one.

I'm not sure about this one. With so many good FPS's out and in the pipeline its going to have to stand out to earn its gamer cred. Personally i'm really looking forward to Aliens: Colonial Marines by Gearbox. Now thats a shooter worth backing http://www2.sega.com/aliens//index.php .

If they make the savannah big enough, so that you can do stroll around without coming across people for a while, I may be interested. Seems like a nice ambiance with animals running around and a glaring sun. I hope those animals are not just in the trailers, cause they do add a lot to the experience I think.

Loved the trailer! Loved the africain soundtrack and the voice acting doesnt look too bad!

Has a lot more subtlety than Crysis. Too many people place emphasis on effects and obvious glitz.

This is certainly looking a lot worse than the initial showings - it still looks good in comparison to other games on the market, but it looks a bit rougher around the edges.

The game looks pretty, though the characters shown in this trailer look a bit poor, hopefully that won't be the case when game is released.... Will be interesting to know what beast of a PC you'll need to play this, I don't believe 360 version will look as good as PC, time will tell..
