Sony Online release some new images of The Agency. Graphically it still looks a bit poor, but let's give this action MMO a chance for offering something new. The game is planned to be released on PSN at an undetermined date.
I think TF2 looks quite a bit better, personally, but it's not a technical issue--it's the art direction. I also think the "for an MMO" excuse (which, is what it is ultimately) only holds weight when we know we're looking at massive, streaming worlds. Age of Conan looks good, for an MMO, but for all we know this could be limited to fairly small instanced zones.

I love the way it looks like it was made in 1995 using the half life 1 engine.
I like retro games.
The way the wall stretched round the corner in shot 4, and the fact that it uses a flat texture with no normal mapping...all good stuff.
I am guessing they realize what kind of a risk this sort of game is, and are perhaps not spending as much money on it as people would expect...hopefully it will play OK though.
I think the MMO graphics argument can work on PC. If they make a game which requires a fairly new PC then they are not going to get the amount of subscribers that they might need.

Also Bakuthesuede - you are right mate, how inept of the devs to not notice this. Especially as they must vet the screens before they release them to the public.
reminds me a little too much of perfect dark zero for my liking. with a little TF2 style thrown in. not great i gotta say. if its pay 2 play, then frankly they can sod off, but that goes for every MMO in existance.

I don't believe they have announced whether or not they are having subscriptions.
