There was more than just Resident Evil 5 at Capcom's Captivate '08, like the mysterious Dark Void. After the screens released a few days ago, here come two gameplay videos. It looks weird, but I have to admit that hijacking a flying UFO is as cool as it gets.

I don't really know what to make of it ...

You can't really knock it - gameplay looks cool, visuals are very impressive - but I dunno ... it certainly gives off this strange vibe.

I think it looks promising though, and the vertical gameplay looks quality.

I won't be buying this, but it actually doesn't look too bad. The colors and artstyle is bland, but I hope this turns out good anyway.

The concept looks good, but from what I've seen of it so far there seems to be only a couple of enemies on screen at once. Even in the flying sections there isn't enough going on in the skies, which doesn't bode to well if thats all there is. Here's hoping to plenty of dogfights going on while your trying to jack a UFO. With a year left in development hopefully theres more action in both the FPS and Flying elements of this game, as it looks quite sparse right now.

To this day, Crimson Skies is still in my top 20 favorite games- so that fact that their team is making this- I'm interested. But after watching the second trailer- I'm actually really interested in this project and not just the team behind it. So... I think I'll be keeping a very close eye on the development of the rest of the game as well. I've seen shots for a while, and heard about the weird ships and gravity issues... all seemed cool- but these videos REALLY look smooth.

Very interested... but just not 100% sold yet.

Looks cool indeed. Graphically it reminds me of Mass Effect. Gameplay looks pretty solid as well, except for the flying part.

The game needs more action though, it's a little too stale atm. Gunplay looks very solid and the vertical platforming thing going on seems pretty cool. I;ve got my eye on this one!

looks very wicked actuallyl i love that vertical gameplay im surprised we havent seen similar in games yet very wicked... i love when he grabs the guys and pulls them over the edge and that finishing move where he grabs the bad guy shoves the gun in his back a bit and pushes out his chest and boom HEHE

why dont they name it Rainbow Void Of Sugar and Candy?

Strange.. this trailer, during the part where he hangs on the cliffs, something just ain't right with the gravity. The camera is looking from the ground up, but the guy hangs on the cliffs as if the gravity literally comes from the side.

I think this looks pretty interesting...I mean graphically I find it pretty damn impressive...the art certainly adds to this fact

Why does everyone do this? Surely you don't do this with books or movies. I don't hear people calling Iron Man the movie a mix of transformers, some spiderman drama, and a soldier movie mixed all together. You see how that doesn't even sound right?

Wow, another game that seemed like a cool idea has been wacked out of pole position by blah animation and play mechanics... to name a few things. I guess this here is a good example of what the majority of gaming has to offer of late, that along with constant delays, release push backs and sequals. Sad. I hope gaming isn't going to become what the movie industry has of late, rehash and lame.

Plus seeing this coming from anything connected to Capcom in any capacity is a shocker, to me at least since it looks like nothing Capcom would be caught dead making. Here I was thinking a Rocketeer meets Mass Effect game would be tight but in the wrong hands it obviously won't work. I'm bummed and shocked here.

The landscapes look a little like Crimson Skies, which is good. Just imagine how good Iron Man could have been with these guys behind it. Can't wait to play this. Unfornately, I don't see this coming til, at least, mid 2009.
