I got GTA IV but when this game Ships in October or November .... Ill still be buying it.

Wow. What happened to the graphics? I used to think this was looking better than GTA4, but something went wrong here.

Well.... im speechless, in a bad way. Sure looks fun, but it is just to much i think. But, I won't judge the game by this. Saints Row was a ok game, exept from the terrible framerate. Soo... I'll just have to wait!

anyway, very witty. let's just hope they're not raising the bar too high for themselves, and get the at least half as right the things that gta did incredibly right (amazing story, dialogs, deep characters etc etc), and are in my opinion impossible to surpass...

but true, going bowling, cabaret etc do get old and tiring...

there game is about having FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUNNNN and i play most of the time games for the fun.

ps:i havent even played gta 4 over 40% because of the lack of fun.

Lolz, as much as I loved GTA 4, I must admit that this game looks like it'll be way more fun. It'll be funny that in addition to the activities you can do, if they manage to make the main story very good.

I must admit... an August release may have been fatal. But now with October release I think they will find enough people who will buy it... And it realy looks lots of fun :-)

Well, regardless, in this context it's still sorta hilarious that they'd use the same font.

Listen... seriously.... all this studio can do is make the features in GTA IV look unimaginative, boring or lackluster compared to what they hope to deliver in a few months time.

After playing GTA IV I think everything else will simply not live up to some of the most boring aspects of GTA IV.

The only game that I think will still deliver and shine is... Mercenaries 2.

Saints Row 2 is a adrenaline junky with zero intelligence of raising its adrenaline to a fun, intuitive and challenging level!

Yeah..noticed they didnt ask "would you rather play a beautiful looking game.. or this?".

I admire their attempt at being cocky, but i'd be surprised if the same quality of GTA4's humour continues throughout the game.

GTA4 was groundbreaking for gaming in that it presented an intelligent and entertaining satire of American culture. Despite GTA's reputation, it is a perfect example of what gaming is capable of as an artform; that games are capable of moving beyond being just toys to keep little kids entertained and are capable of tackling real issues.

In comparison, Saints Row is a dumbed-down celebration of gangster culture that's biggest draw seems to be that you can throw your friends in front of trains, and somehow you people think that makes it 'better'. Ever wonder why Xbox Live is full of racial-slurring 12-year-olds? This is why.

I never said that this game will be better than gta IV but...

Just because I own GTA IV dosnt meen that I never want to play any other game other than GTA IV for the rest of my life !!!

What we need is more Games that take it to a creative level...

very well put!SaintsRow2 logo font is not the same!! They used the same font when they say, "would you rather..." because they never refer GTA, but they want you to visually and immediately know that they refer to it...It's not because they are copying it...

EXACTLY... this like soooo puts gta in the mud, if they can make sr2 big and make it look good hell even if the story sucks if the gameplay rocks and they give us the ability to do shit like run a prostitution ring, or run our own drug cartel ill be happy

The Pricedown font is free for ALL uses, even commercial ones. Rockstar doesn't own the rights to it, since they aren't the ones who originally made that typeface to begin with.

Oh, and I WILL be getting this, if only because I long to brutalize some Ultor goons. It's been a little too long since my last opportunity.

Yea the activities look to be far more fun. I respect GTA 4 for the story and character development, but I will definitely be gettin this if they do the gameplay elements properly. It just offers a bit more variety to what you can do, which is what I didn't find very often in GTA 4. This game seems to be pretty outrageous.
