Eidos and Crystal Dynamics just released a new screenshot of Tomb Raider: Underworld. Here's a glimpse of an underwater temple level, which Lara will discover after a long diving sequence in the deep blue.

Wow! looks stunning. I just love the texture work of Crystal Dynamics. Legend and Anniversary were show pieces when it came to texture richness!

I agree.. but only in the sense that neither the XBOX360 or PS3 version will look like that... it's gonna take the "next gen" to look at good.

(BTW, the 360 and PS3 are now currect gen.)

Seeing as how there is no hud or player character it's obvious that it's not in-game, perhaps in-engine. But i doubt either is correct.

I'd say that's par for the course for real-time, if they were gonna fake it they could have made it look much nicer.

Given how detailed the textures are in the old screens, it' not too hard to believe this new shot might be real time with a few color and lighting changes.

Huh, am I missing something here? It looks good, but not "OMG!!!NO WAY...IT MUST BE CGI!!!" good.

Looking forward to this game though, there are jut not enough of these types of games around.

anyone who played Tomb Raider legend wouldnt have a hard believing this is real time. the screen might have touched up a little but I still think it's a veryu good indication of the graphical quality of the game.

TRL looked pretty good though, on PC and 360 anyway.

I simply can't wait for TRU after seeing what Crystal Dynamics did with Legend and Anniversary. I'm so glad Core aren't developing the series anymore.

blmbox Yeah, but judging by the content of both reviews, Eurogamer didn't particularly care much for the game anyway. They probably only gave it an 8 to avoid controversy - the review sounded more like a 6. (8 Hours ago)

SimonM7 Yeah sure, but from what console reviews are saying it's perfectly adequate. I mean I'm sure PC is the way to go, but I sincerely doubt we're seeing a 5 to 9 split score wise or anything. (10 Hours ago)
