Page 1 2 >>WTF? You want to play the frickin' game, or you want to play user maps? Next-time ask Epic to release Unreal Mods 4, with only the u-c tools and no games... hell, people only play what people create, won't they?
Sometimes, geez!
I can fully understand why multi-plataform owners won't think twice on choosing the PC/PS3 version over the 360, but a one console only owner that wants to play some frenetic deathmatch action, where this is one of the last great takes on that kind of game... it just boogles my mind the whole "mhe... no mods = no buy!"
Unreal Tournament (the whole series) is one of these games..
It loses much of its potential withous user-created content..
Believe me it is extremely fun to kick ass with Stringer Gun (minigun), while you have as character Cloud (Final Fantasy), or Samus (Metroid) ;)
And it certainly looks good, i would say lightning effects are a bit better than those from pc/ps3
THAT GAME SUCKED!
And Unreal 3 is gunna be just like Quake Wars! ...Thus, who cares if it doesn't have "mods," because NO ONE's gunna buy this game anyway.

"but without mods..."?

Seriously how can anyone hate user created content?
I wonder if they managed to hit 60fps.

Either it has too many bugs.
Or it has too few maps.
Or it is insanely unbalanced.
Or it has boring few weapons or vehicles.
Or it simply sucks in the feel of the gameplay.
Or if its an rts, it has a pathetic small unit cap.
In all those cases, a mod can completely turn the game around and make it superb. That is why mods are important.
Try Oblivion without mods. Great game, the end.
Now try oblivion with Francesco's mod + all other things you want. Amazing game, almost perfect, since YOU get to download the mods and tune/change the game into what YOU like in games.
Enough said.
skipping this one simply because of no mods...
Also they'll be exclusive maps too i believe in the box. As well as split screen.

But some people like me, who already don't have enough time to mess with the Core game, till the next wave of purchases come, COULDN'T CARE LESS, Mmkay?
I personally dislike Epic Games and UT3 for entirely different reasons.

This comes nowhere near the graphical quality of the PC version but i thought they could at least get it on-par with the PS3 one, which it appears they haven't been able to do.
If the game is optimized on the X360 to the point where the main engine is NOW capable of suporting split-screen @ the same frame-rate, then obviously it's better than the PS3 version in someway, on the single-player.
PR Images mean nothing... pad in the hand & game on the screen means all!
- The PS3 version doesn't have splitscreen, but that can be rectified with mods.
-The PS3 version can have every board the 360 version has because of mods, so the 360 has no advantage there.
-The PS3 version flat-out looks better from what I've seen with clips and pics. The lighting looks better on the PS3 version and it looks like there's more filters on the PS3 version. Granted, the 360 version isn't done yet, so that could mean nothing, but still if the 360 could take in all what the PS3 could do with this game, the 360 port should at least look as good as the PS3 version early on, since it would be a direct port as everyone who starts with a PS3 game says it's easier to do.
That has nothing to do with mods, and that's not Epic's fault, you can just do more with the architecture of the PS3. There's nothing wrong with that, no one can be blamed. I say that only because the PS3 version has been out for six months now and if it wasn't true, the 360 version would at least look as good as the PS3 version.
