Amusing. That's exactly what I like about MGS4 though. It's so "out there" that even shooter/military game haters like me can enjoy the series.

BattleField is pretty good with the destructible environments and all its pretty crazy, you don't see many games now a days with that level of destruction in detailed environments. I played the demo and tried to fight a tank while hiding behind a house that I watched deteriorate with each shot till I had to run for it there really was no place 2 hide lol. Funny stuff.

Why would they mock with MGS?

It's not that you can put this trailer under "good advertising"

Seriously, after that ad I downloaded the demo. It certainly worked to get noticed. I hear the MP is quite good.

lol.. some people have serious issues with their "joke-detection" function lol.. stop complaining and enjoy the vid for what its meant to be :) I mean honestly.. some people on this forum behave as if Snake was their own bloody father.. this is entertainment, deal with it or even better; go to EA/Dice and complain directly to them. Then take their level of interest in what you are saying to them and scale it down to a 100. That should approximately give you the correct amount of interest that this forum pays to your posts... jeeez.. seriously..

my thoughts exactly! super funny stuff, like to see what they aiming at here, not taking themselves so seriously, Three Kings kinda thing. Looking forward to play this game in a couple of weeks.

And man, the animation of the characters is insane. Granted it's motion capture, but it translates very well to the models, they look so damn beliveable (tons of natural secondary motions and subtle facial expressions when they move and talk....)

And to the serious people around here...relax it's all tongue in cheek, don't get so defensive...

HILLARIOUS! The shorts by DICE for this game have been amazing with great humor.First off, the game is made by DICE which has a number of huge hits to their resume. So all the "hate" talk about how DICE could only wish to make a game as good as MGS... they have. Twice. Heck, BF1942 and BF2 blow away any MP offering in a MGS game.

Immitation is the sincerest form of flattery. The fact DICE took the time to do a short poking fun at one of the admittadly cheeky parts of MGS shows how big and well known MGS is. Obviously it does MGS no harm and it was... you know... funny.
