why,wel first and most ovious the camera.
second, the context sensive action(melee).
third,enemies who react to wich part they have been shot.
fourth,the atmosphere of never being save.
last,this is going to be alot of fun.

The Thing Game was the best "low-profile Dev/publisher" SHorror game I have ever played.
The Team Tension & walking on the light path of a barren dark snow location, so fuckin' creepy. Best thing to hit consoles after Silent Hill.

Agreed. The Thing was/is a fantastic game, a fantastic mix of action and horror.

Dead Space looks great as well. I just hope it wont turn out as disappointing as Alone in the Dark 5.

I've seen some zero-gravity gameplay over at gametrailers.com. That was pretty impressive, but otherwise it looks like Doom III but from a third person view. The aliens seem to have a pretty simple AI: just run up to the character and slash away. But no one knows if aliens are smart ofcourse, at least I haven't met one.

This is the first time I have viewed Dead Space, and it looks interesting, reminiscent to a Doom 3/Resident Evil 4 hybrid to me.

Well that trailer didn't make any sense, it's called "strategic dismemberment" but the producer himself talks about how pointless it is to dismember the enemies and that you should just maim them to death any way you can. :)

wow! is it "Euphoria"?...

Damn, this game is looking incredible! From the animations to the über crisp graphics, to the atmposhere, to the gameplay. Seriously impressive.

The gameplay borrowes a lot from other games such as Half Life 2, Prey, Bioshock etc. But it still manages to make it look fresh and just plain awesome!

Graphics are so crisp, unlike anything I've seen this gen so far. The walkthrough vid at Gamespot really is a must watch. Only thing that disappoints is the A.I. Hopefully that will be addressed accordingly.
