Loakum Ugh….scratch that previous comment. The upcoming Game of Thrones video game is a F’in mobile phone game. Why can’t they came an open world GoT game, like Witcher 3 or God of War? (> 3 Months ago)
Loakum By FAR, the upcoming Game of Thrones King’s Road was the Game of the Show! It plays like God of War Ragnarok! :) (> 3 Months ago)

It has the best lighting system implemented in a game (on a console at the very least). ever! Everything is dynamic and it's all adjustable on the fly. It has post-processing filters to make it look even better and yes it's HDR. Hell, even motorstorm was HDR and that was a launch game. xbox360 (which is a dx9 platform) can't even do HDR.
I dont think anybody can denie that this game looks good in motion. I'd just like to see a different backdrop for a change. Hopefully they'll show some variety in it during E3.

There are far better fps out there which look far worse...
...oh and no Im not refering to Halo. KZ looks even better than CoD.

Commented on 2008-06-28 15:51:50 In reply to phantomisticeDon't get me wrong, it looks amazing and from watching the gameplay videos on here a while back, I'd have to say it looks like one of the most if not THE most impressive looking FPS on a console. Sadly it's not quite as good as the trailer, but we won't be seeing games that match that trailer for a couple of years. May even have to wait till next gen.
I don't get why people this shot is bad. Come on, I'm a 360 owner and it's obvious the shot looks fine.

Commented on 2008-06-28 17:22:07Unfortunately, I think that's all it'll be. The AI looked awful in the video footage we've seen, and overall the gameplay looked incredibly boring. Looks like this will be pretty to look at, rubbish to play.

Commented on 2008-06-28 17:52:34what I like from the pick is that there's a serious number of polygons in each helmet /facemask combo, also it seems that the bullet actually comes out of the gun, as if it's fully working. looks like there is no AA problems, and for a game quite a distance away and still "early" in the graphics department it shaping up to be a visual treat, especially after finding out how much of the graphics are running from the cell and not the GPU.
But as whith any game it has to play right before anything else, and that's were it has to shine.

Commented on 2008-06-28 18:37:41 In reply to SpoBoPGR3 had HDR lighting - a launch game which arrived well before Motorstorm. The Xbox 360 has Shader Model support which is above 3.0, but not quite the 4.0 model required to be DX10 compliant. The PS3 on the other hand, only supports Shader Model 3.0. Both consoles can do HDR lighting, and it's certainly not a DX10 exclusive feature.
The lighting from the previous videos of Killzone 2 looked extremely 'baked-in' to me. Don't get me wrong, baked-in lighting can be very effective, but to say the console has the best lighting system implemented in a console game ever is extremely ignorant. Far Cry 2 looks leaps above KZ2 with regards to a dynamic lighting cycle.

Commented on 2008-06-28 18:39:25I've seen the game in motion and it looks mindblowing.
And other shots of this game also looked amazing.
BUT on this single screen, the HDR is barely noticeable, and the textures don't look good. So stop calling peolpe fanboys who say that this unluckyly chosen pic they are commenting on seems to be a pile of crap.
Anyone who judges KZ's gfx only because of that shot is a dork anyway....
Commented on 2008-06-28 18:41:43 In reply to MilhouseI think current games like Bad Company are technical much more advanced like Killzone 2.
Commented on 2008-06-28 18:46:29agreed. physics in BF:BC are poor.
buildings don't even collapse. You can only blast specific parts of walls away...
technically NOT very impressive...
BTW I want a fps using euphoria^^

And, blasting away specific parts of walls is still better than any other console game has managed to do.
Euphoria is not a physics engine either, it's a dynamic animation engine working in collaboration with a games current physics to produce life-like animations on the fly.
