As usual, the bonus video of Gears of War 2 included with the 360 version of Unreal Tournament 3 has been leaked early, and you can now download it here with a not great but still watchable quality.
Update: 720p version up!
Update 2: Video deleted at Midway's request.

Yeah, game looks great! Not "OMFG best graphics ever" great, but definitely among the best looking games so far. Games like Mirrors edge and Dead Space have the edge over this imo as does COD4.
And it looks beter than Killzone [PS]2 Textures.

Hmm, another tread ruined by immaturity, not many posts yet, but i know its coming.
Looks good, gets me wondering, what will they add to the pc version lol.
Well i personally loved the 1st game and played the campaign 6 times... loved the campaign, i actually thought the car controlled amazingly well. and the shoot or move was a cool concept.
Cliffy B loves them tight shirts hihihi.

just watched the video again ...... do you think it runs at 60fps this time? sames super smooth....

as for people going on about the GFX...... god people... i mind they said on the 1st game they where getting about 90% from the 360 ...its the same bit of hardware......... so stop this " I AM ONLY GOING TO BY THE BEST LOOKING GAME IN THE WORLD" does my head in and its all i read On this site now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just watched it a few times. looks SOOO amazing in HD. then I watched it again but on my hdtv. just blown away. not only that, but the gameplay tweaks are just insane. sounds like it's going to just blow the top off of what Gears 1 MP did. can't wait!!!

Nah. some of the IGN 1up vids show some of that. cliffy said you can "slowly chip away" at some cover. u can see that in some of those other vids a bit, but nothing too drastic. that would be bad. it would change the MP up too much. I'd expect to see a lot more of that in SP where map balance is not an issue.

Looks great as always, also its only 65% complete and this is MP not SP which look better as is the case with most all games. The improvments to multiplayer are just amazing and the crazy thing is theres more to come.

He's doing it on purpose. Actually, I'm beginning to believe he's a mod or a friend of a mod here, seeing as he's never been boulet timed when his remarks get worse and worse about games.

Anyway, since Cliffy B pretty much killed the UT franchise, all I ask is that he doesn't kill this franchise as well. Gears 1 was a good game, and I'm glad he's addressing the multiplayer problems from it as well.

I'm a huge Gears of War fan but that's just laughable. I don't see why 360 fanboys get so insecure, GOW2 looks great but some people just go absurd trying to defend their precious console.

I am however concerned about the netcode for this since the original GOW had terrible nedcode that resulted in some poor online games. I'm hoping they've fixed it and put some work towards removing things like the hosts advantage, especially since they've upped the player count a little. Ideally though they'd just give us some dedicated servers and a decent amount of players in a game, 20 player Gears Of War would be awesome.
Ugh 20 player Gears would suck. This game is perfect for a low quantity of players. Especially when you're in a team of people who work together. Pure magic.

Don't get me wrong, the actual shield is great, but if you down someone and grab them as shield, it is just..until you die you have no other option but to be the shield, it's going to be daunting

GOW is all about frantic, brutish and hell born fighting, you gotto duck, dive, wall bounce, shoot , melee etc, that is gow! this ain't halo or any other fps

Flamethrower is cool to look at, but practically it would suck, you could even get hit hidding against a wall and its reach is incredibly long

the new locust pistol is same as the magnum gun or cog pistol, why not have different weapons for the locust entirely, i mean..this is their planet.. would've been cool to have maybe a sword only the locust can pick up..or a nail gun with nails the size of stakes, equivalent to the boom shot..only 2 shots, but if you get hit you will thrust against the wall or to the ground


Gears of war Online, doesnt need RIFFLES, they should remove it seriously!

everything else does rock thoughm chainsaw duels was inevitable, and 10 players rocks and i am glad host advantage is taken out, connection is spread across

Are you making stuff up as you "think" it is, or did you really read it and read it wrong?

The moment you are grabed as a Meat Shield, you become dead... you grab a corpse.
To had to that visual effect, the only way to release a meat shield is by someone explode it with fire, ou you cutting the troath, then trowhing it away.

are you saying grabbing someone as a meatshield once down is almost like an execution, where they die instantly?

i didn't know that, i thought if someone downs you and grabs you as a meatshield your buddy can take the guy out and still save you

Just as starfox14now said... If you get grabbed you are dead and can then continue as spectator or rejoin the re spawn cycle depending on the game mode.

Well, I'm shocked at how something like Dead Space is underappreciated just because it isn't the almighty 360 exlusive from our "beloved Cliffy".

Yeah, Dead Space looks more appealing to me than Gears 2, whether it be technically or artistically I don't know...

Exactly, warzone... till the end of the round you're dead. On execution you may still have a chance to shoot @ your own shield/corpse. :P

At first i hoped so too....but after thinking about it I think it is better this way. I mean if someone takes you hostage you would have to wait until he kills you or he is killed - so some idiots would most likely take you and hide just to piss you off.. plus if you play a mode in which you can re spawn it doesn't matter to you anyway or your team.
