Just what I was thinking. I saw the title and thought "that's not right, I can see sunlight".

Anyway, from these screens we can deduce:

It has licensed Porsches and Audis
It has cop chase
It has extensive car modification
The car models are pretty enough
The rest of the textures are low-res, but there's so much blur you can barely tell

Sounds like a Need For Speed game.

Finally the cops are back, I skipped the last one because of no cops, I want my NFS w/ cops, not some sub standard PGR clone, hurray! Hope it turns out good :)

Yeaaaah, a NFS: MW Remake. I love MW, best NFS imo.

No, really, it looks like MW (the game was good though). Graphics are ooooold now. But let's see, what we can expect in gameplay....."Carbon" and "Pro Street" were just huge dissapointments for me.

I've had it with the night driving in NFS. This could be good, time will tell.

Midnight club will be the only arcade racer I buy this year. NFS series died IMO the moment I played Carbon.

I played NFSU and PGR2 at about the same time... so for me this series is stonedead even for longer...

The only thing I ever liked about NFS was being chased by cops, or playing the cop. Glad that this feature is returning. As long as there aren't any lame urban/ricer themes, I'm all over it

The police logo is meant to be backwards, that way you can read it in a rear view mirror. ;)

I was gunna say that =) You guys are so much better then GT for two reasons. 1-you always speak the truth. What YOU think is what you put on the page, and you do it with respect even when you don't like something. Mostly anyway. 2-You have better quality videos and actually have images, despite that fact that they have every other developer buying out their advertising spaces, and creating whole new ones AND having a big TV channel station thingy behind them.

Looks good, the AA is obviously touched up a tad xD but still looks good enough. I did like the last Need for Speed's car morphing thing where you could change the appearance of certain aspects, so I hope thats n here too.

Passion for games still has its place, and this is the place.

The teaser looks great though, that guy is a pretty good actor, especially for a game.

The last NFS game that had a good feel/controls/physics imo, at least for its time of release, was NFS Underground. The rest were just.. Ugh.
Most Wanted was okay, but it still had the same "drive at 10mph and watch the skittish rear end dance around" problem.

I really, really, really wish they would do a new NFS game with the same semi-realistic awesome physics that NFS Porche Unleashed had.. Man i loved the feel in that game. But all the Porches became boring after a while :)


And i agree wholeheartedly with pythxvii, it feels like this site has Mature members with an actual BRAIN, while GT is just filled with pathetic 11 year old fanboys rating stuff 1 because its their "rival" console, not to mention calling everything "gay" and "faggoty".. YAWN. I hate people like that with a passion.

A lot of blur and bloom, but not really impressive. Need for Speed needs to re-invent itself, because after Need for Speed underground, it was going downhill.
I wouldn't mind if there wasn't a Need for Speed for a couple of years, giving them some time to come up with something new and refreshing.

Or by the fact that its Blue and White in a very specific paintjob and have flashing sirens as a screaming token of its presence for miles away (like all police cars in the world) ??
Seriously, who has ever been so confused by a police car or ambulance, that they didnt realize what it was until they actually read the text? That has to be one dumb motha fucker :) :D
