After a few minutes playing Saints Row 2, Driftwood and Lunik came back to the press room with a strongly negative opinion of the game, but their video doesn't seem that bad. I guess I'll let you guys decide by yourselves!

Use your head... or at least your eyes and find the answer in the similar comments that have been posted about a million times for since we started posting videos from Leipzig... What kind of sound do you think you would have from a video made on the showfloor of a game convention?
Wow, there's actually people out there that share my exact thoughts on this game!
They're just laying it on too thick, trying too hard. It's like those comedians that lack the clever jokes, so they try to make up for it by acting like a tool. Of course, there are also comedians that make acting like a tool very funny as well...but it's difficult to explain. You either have it or you don't and this game...just doesn't.
Well I´m pretty disappointed with what I see here in the video! The trailers looked really cool and funny but this.. it looked just meh. Still gonna give this game a chance tho, since I didn`t even finish GTA4. Sure it looked fantastic and the story was nice but there was just no fun to be had, I don`t know! I missed the feeling of all mightyness and anarchy of the older iterations!

Nice they have added so much blood. Looked really poor when you shot someone in the first game.
And for those who says the graphics looks worse than Saints Row 1: Lol, please insert SR1 and play it for a while... that game looks horrible. This is absolutely an improvement even tho its not good looking

Yes I think that nails it down pretty well. This game is like a Steven Seagal movie and GTA is a top class Hollywood action thriller. And there are people (definitely not me) who prefer Segal over top class Hollywood movies.
In my opinion Saints Row is extremely one dimensional and uninspired. The complete lack of depth is made up for by violence.
SR1 sucked ass! never shud have bought that shitty piece of software... But it had some great ideas and i hope they make it more like a driving game, like they did with GTA4.
And i dont care, SR iS A GTA CLONE. :P
i hope SR2 is gonna be alot better but im not buying it before ive tried it somewhere first. *fingers crossed*
I agree with some that there seems to be zero AI. Almost as if the AI is magnet based, but the magnet on the player is very weak. :) The AI seemed to just stand in front of the player, doing nothing.

That's a really good analogy. I very much dislike Seagal's acting and all his movies. But some people do enjoy them, some people watch them for the laugh or light entertainment. But I cannot stand them.
SR2 looks like the kind of game, I just want to turn off and throw out.

I agree. Still play Saints Row often even after 2 years. I played GTAIV for 2 months and haven't touched it since. Everyone should stop judging this early build of the game and check out the official forums. All the major bugs are confirmed fixed already.
