Like I mentioned before on N4G.. this game should have been banned in my honest opinion! Any game advocating gratuitous violence or that advocates violence in this way should never be made in the first place.

Are you advocating banning things we don't agree with?
I didn't use any words in my post that is condescending in any way to anybody and that is because it's NOT a reply post.
So read carefully before you pick a war.

"Kill the doctor"... I mean come on! Replacing this with "Bitch slap and K.O the doctor" would at least be more funny and not raise to many immoral issues, especially in this day and age where every seems to be driven by wanton crime.
The problem here is when you see SR2 for real, it doesn't look that good (the video looks a lot better than the real game) and it's true we expected to see some major improvements in that area. For now the game doesn't run smoothly either and since we only played a little bit of an indoor level, we fear the game's framerate might be a problem once loose in the city. The animations are stiff, which is even more obvious when you've played GTA IV.
Now we can't say the game isn't good because we didn't get to play the sandbox part of it but from what we saw, I can tell you we didn't want to ask for more. Our opinion was mostly based on the game's looks and how it played in an indoor level. To me, the game feels old in the way it handles and it looks old too. Now I hope I can play it again in a freeroaming environment so I can really decide if I could like the game or not.
Let's hope a demo will be released so everyone can make their own opinion. The game might be a lot more fun when you're in the city but the introduction really isn't appealing to me. Everyone's free to beg to differ though. ;)
No I am simply stating my opinion. It is just that and nothing more! My post is the equivalent of a shell bouncing off a tissue, so don't split hairs on it man!

Game Looks Great.
Sorry for that but it gets old hearing people bitch about violence. :)
That's 101 how you stick it to the man!

who the hell designed that main character? lol
No offence to the guys here, but it does sound like you're a little biased towards GTA.
All I can say is I was pretty disappointed by what I saw of Saints Row but it's also true that I haven't played enough of the game to say for sure that the whole game is disappointing, so we'll just have to wait to figure out what it's worth in the end. :)
I will take of my tin foil hat now :)

I compared with GTA, this is what GTA was. GTA4 took it further and added depth. SR still tries to pretend to be a hardass-game, but those days are over in my opinion. We have seen it before. But no doubt, this game has its buyers.
I also agree that the violence is gratuit. Kill the docter? Shoot every policeman? That isn't cool. It's stupid. This is not over-the-top funny as games like this should be. Trying to be a badass game, but misses creativity.
