Force Unleashed demo online

LucasArts released a demo of Star Wars: Force Unleashed on both Xbox Live Marketplace and the PSN a couple of days ago, and here is a video from it for you who aren't able to download it yet. I fully enjoyed it for what it was, and hopefully the full version can be as fun as the short demo.
LucasArts press release:
Demo for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed coming on August 21 on Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network
On August 21st, PLAYSTATION®3 and Xbox®360 owners will be able to unleash the Force in the comfort of their own homes by downloading the demo of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed from Xbox Live or the PlayStation Network. The demo gives players a taste of one of the early levels in the game: the TIE Fighter Construction Facility, under siege by a Jedi General named Rahm Kota. The Secret Apprentice has been sent by Darth Vader to hunt down and destroy the General, but is also told that, in order to remain a secret, he is to leave no witnesses.
Also included in the demo is a tutorial intended to teach players how to use their Force Grip power.
An entirely new chapter in the Star Wars Saga, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed casts players as Darth Vader's "Secret Apprentice" and promises to unveil new revelations about the Star Wars galaxy. The game's expansive story is set during the largely unexplored era between Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. In it, players will assist Vader in his quest to rid the universe of Jedi - and face decisions that could change the course of their destiny.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is the first next-generation game developed internally at LucasArts, and will be available on the Xbox®360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system.
As its name implies, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed completely re-imagines the scope and scale of the Force by taking full advantage of newly developed technologies that will be seen and experienced for the first time together: Digital Molecular Matter, by Pixelux Entertainment, and euphoria by NaturalMotion Ltd.

I don't see it anywhere on PSN. I live in Belgium. Could that be the reason it's not available? Or am I missing something?

The controls are a little stiff, and the targeting is very awkward. Sometimes you'll be trying to throw an object at the guy right infront of you, and instead it will be thrown straight upwards, at something you didn't even see. I've heard this may have been fixed for the final game, but as it is, it doesn't play anywhere near as well as Psy-Ops.
Also I don't like how it seems to be taking the God of War route with bosses, are all of them simply going to be QTE's? If that's the case, I definitely won't be buying the game..
But in general, it's fun to play, and the story looks great.

Would be cool if you could just push an enemy target button, and then press left/right to go through them all. It's stupid when it targets both objects and enemies like that.

I remembered it wrong though, I thought the target button also targeted objects.

EDIT : ok, trying it now, you can use it to select stuff initially, but you cant use the lock on and target while using the force grip, making it kinda pointless. and its RB not LB.

Can't be seen buying this for full price, but definitely rent it. Does it have any replay value at all?
I don't know, after playing Jedi Outcast, this is just a game for the graphics and the 3 technologies that'll just become a novelty after a while. Psi-Ops was more fun, but this will have human ladders possible! XD

I swear to you if I even feel someone behind me ther's no measure to how fast I will bring this fight to your doorstep.

It was awesome with the physics etc.. But the movement an animation of the character.... Ew..
It's like some old japanese rpg. At least there the combat is turn based and without movement.
It's just so, chuggy and stiff. Not even any animation blending, i mean wtf? I know they tried to make it feel a bit asian or whatever. But i just dont like it.
Asians doing western-style games = fail
Westeners doing asian-style games, in the western star wars setting = big fail

Somehow the Devs overhyped the physics engine in this game. I felt really dissapointed after finishing the demo. Everthink dissapers after 2 sec and u cant dismember your enemies with the lightsaber. WTF?

Not buying this. One SW game after another and none of the creativity of the old days. I suppose that what they did to their employees was the drop. Plenty of other fish to spend the money on imo.

The game was fun for the first 5 minutes but after the novelty of throwing around stormtroopers wore off, it just felt bland and uninspired.
The force powers where pretty cool but the light saber fighting was terrible, i was also suprised how bad the graphics looked especially the cutscenes i was expecting a high profile high budget game to look a lot better than this.

Liked it as well. Not everything I hoped it would be, but still one of the better demos I've played recently. Might pick it up at a later time.

I personaly thought the demo was abit of a let down.. it looked nowhere near as pretty as the target shots. Textures were just bland. The animations were alright.. i dont think up to the same standard as gta 4 though..which is strange considering its using the same engine for the animations.
I dunno.. just didnt seem to do it for me

edit: But what I didn't like the most is that the Apprentice looks like an Irish/English hooligan in a leather suit. This is disturbing, in SC4 he looks way better, more like a badass rather than a ratface....

According to those who have played a more finished version of the game, the targeting system works far better and it's easier to hit what you want using the force powers.
However, it doesn't excuse the fact that every major encounter in the game is simply a QTE. I thought the whole point of the game was supposed to make YOU feel powerful, I don't want to watch a cut-scene for every boss fight.
Like I said before, I enjoyed it, but I don't see myself paying full price for it, especially as it seems very likely that it's going to be an extremely short game..

This game is a pass for me. Too many control issues.
Might seem passable now, but wait till you have to use them to fight the bosses and tougher enemies later in the game. Unacceptable.
