Legendary developer diary
2008-08-27 20:48:13 by Manager
Atari released this developer diary for Legendary, to be released on PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 in early October. The video pretty much explains the game, and it at least made me more interested in the game.

Yeah i saw this last week on GT, i am actually very impressed. I remember how pretty average this looked a few months back, but it's starting to look NICE! it's coming out next week...and i might get it. I was gonna get Infinite Undiscovery but i ain't sure so anymore after IGN's very negative review. But i am still gonna try the game out..be the judge myself.

now, these guys made fall of liberty, a similar real world feeling game, where the whole alternate history was pretty believable, and this seems to be going for a similar thing, which is a good thing cos fall of liberty FELT good story, setting and premis wise.
what makes me a little wary of this game however is that fall of liberty was also an unpolished, buggy, mess of a game. and i have a feeling this will be too. i remember seeing fall of liberty for the first time and thinking "wow, this is a cool as hell idea, its gonna be awesome" and this gives me similar vibes, but fall of liberty was so crappy, that i cant bring myself to have even the smallest amount of faith in this. reviews will be the decider.

looks good... did these guys make Fall of Liberty though, or do they just share the same publisher? Fall was a huge mess of an unfinished game that they gladly shiped out...and like you said Korndog..it leave much faith in these guys ability to bring out an even playable experience let alone a memorable one.
Shame its once again americans saving the rest of us too.

It promises alot. Will it deliver...? I hope so. At least I'm intriqued, which I really wasn't before watching this.

That actually looked pretty incredible especially on the graphics front, but I hated the demo of turn point, like everyone says, buggy, plus also I hated the audio, it was strangly louder than everything else

I have low hopes for this game. It's a kind of arena-boss-fighting game. Every level a new boss (in this case a creature). I don't believe that will make a compelling game experience. Ok, it looks cool in little fragments, but will it be entertaining?
If the reviews say it's a good game, I might pick it up, but for now: not on my wanted-list.
