This game looks so well done. Animations are really impressive.
Hopefully this is a real revival for Street Fighter as it seems it's going to be
Seems like they toned down the animated facial expressions, although it may just be hard to see

Same old cast, (mostly) same old gameplay, ugly graphics... Not feeling it AT ALL. KOF12 and BlazBlue should keep me busy enough.

Thanks BlimBlim

I am puzzled... in fact i wonder if i wouldn't have prefered a new Street Fighter EX with that level of polish.

As it is... it seems odd. The High def KOF seems so nice, i prefer 2D for my horizontal fighters, definitly :/

Completely agree with you Street Fighter 4 hardly, more like Street Fighter 2.5 with extra horrid 3d graphics.

They've added a lot to the mechanics of the game. I've actually played it at my university's arcade (we imported the machines). Don't expect casual people to show you advanced stuff, that's all I have to say. If you've ever watched games like Guilty Gear being played by scrubs, you'll know what I mean.

Indeed. There's some good test footage floating around w/ pro players at the joysticks and it looks a lot better than the stuff that you'll see anywhere else. I still don't expect it to dethrone SF3 for a variety of reasons, but I do think it's going to be a good game. I've been as critical of this thing as anyone else.. but it's looking good.

People complain of uglyness or bad characters but then praise Street Fighter 3? I know SF3 has a lot of depth, but how many people that praise it actually have even touched on most of that depth? Personally I never enjoyed Street Fighter 3 much, but I'm looking forward to this one a lot, I hear a lot of media people saying it's really great and it seems the tournament players don't have any major complaints either.

I still think SF3 is a much nicer looking game than SF4, and yes, it has much nicer new characters as well. Makoto, Ibuki, Alex, Yun, Dudley.. Hugo even.. I'll take them all over these new clowns any day.

Third Strike is damn great.

I won't troll, but is it okay if I don't get this game at all?

Nor do I get the hype! :D

I was against the move to 3d, but the game continues to win me over...icing on the cake would be giving us the third strike characters on the home version.

Outside of Cammy they haven't actually confirmed any additional characters for the home version, have they? We've heard that Dan and Fei Long would be making an appearance too.

The characters arn't bad but come on the same whole cast as in SF2 and only around 3 or so new characters? Thats terrible considering we've not had a SF in years. Even games like Soul Calibur change the exsisting characters, SF hardly evoles now just copies and pastes parts from perious SF's to try make it new.

There's pretty significant changes to SF4's gameplay. Saying it's just a redux of SF2 really isn't all that accurate. I'll still contend that SF3's cast of new characters trumps the KOF rejects (key word: rejects!) in SF4, but it's really not just more of the same.
