Death Tank coming to Arcade

Death Tank coming to Arcade

Snowblind Studios has announced Death Tank for Xbox Live Arcade, featuring up to eight players on Xbox Live. The game is a remake of the popular classic, and if you don't remember it now you will by watching the announcement trailer. Personally I can't wait for the madness in online multiplayer.

Snowblind Studios info:
Death Tank is a fast-paced action game requiring quick reflexes and cunning strategy. Devastating weapons and unique items give your tank unlimited destructive power. Eight separate landscapes react to tank combat, altering their shape when hit and providing an ever changing environment in which to play. Players can battle friends or the computer in single player combat. Through Xbox Live, up to eight tanks can simultaneously enter the Death Tank arena for exciting team play or a chaotic free-for-all. Crisp graphics and amazing effects, coupled with addictive game play makes each battle a visceral experience.

• Play on Xbox Live against your friends!
• Customize your tank with powerful upgrades!
• Find secret power-ups to obliterate your enemies!
• Learn new strategies and hone your skills!
• Claim your spot on the leaderboards TODAY!

Game Specs:

There is only one of these games that rocks, and it is Scorched Earth. That game is so awesome :D

Oh shi...this is real time? Okay then, screw scorched earth, this just bumped it :D

I am kinda disappointed that I didn't see any kind of damage being done to the environment like mountains having blast holes .Or mountains getting smaller & such from the bombs But I like the graphics though i might get it.

dude, you need a new pair of glasses... second 38.
If you can't see that, make an apointment with an eye doctor, ASAP. I'm worryed about your health. really.

It's obvious they are taking the realistic route, grenades don't do massive holes in the environment .

This. Isn't. TURN BASED.

Wasn't the original turn based? There must've been more than one version then. I remember playing this on my old PC.

Death Tank is a very popular visual "clone" of Scorched Earth.

Scorched Earth is turn-based. This, is not.
(can't find better shots)

your probably confused to "what" is "who".

I think that's really one of the biggest things that makes Worms and Worms clones not fun to me. Both the trail and error and the way you take turns, always gives one player a huge advantage, this game is looking really great IMO can't wait for it.

There is no trial and error for Worms pros.

I think the trial and error part is the most fun about worms. If you have a mind for physics (even on a basic "feel for it" level) and the game does well in making sure it abides by those rules, then you can figure out what you need in order to get a hit. I like these games because if you're playing with more casual players, it's fun to have the heat turn up when you need that last hit and miss by a few centimeters.

What's up?
  • GeRaLTo
GeRaLTo @Baleur: 80% of reviews are written by "drones" .Ign, eurogamer, teamxbox, gamespot etc are nothing but companies. Who cares 'bout theirs "reviews" anyway (13 minutes ago)
  • Baleur
Baleur Why are you discussing reviews anyway? When have reviews ever mattered? They are just individual people writing about their individual opinions. Might as well read reviews on music too then, lol XD (2 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX pfft text! we only care for numbers (3 Hours ago)
  • blmbox
blmbox Yeah, but judging by the content of both reviews, Eurogamer didn't particularly care much for the game anyway. They probably only gave it an 8 to avoid controversy - the review sounded more like a 6. (7 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX 6 to 8 split on Eurogamer, which isn't quite as large but still pretty significant. (9 Hours ago)
  • SimonM7
SimonM7 Yeah sure, but from what console reviews are saying it's perfectly adequate. I mean I'm sure PC is the way to go, but I sincerely doubt we're seeing a 5 to 9 split score wise or anything. (9 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX not that the Xbox version is "that bad" by most accounts either.. there are plenty of people here playing it who adore it.. but the PC game is recieving higher marks across the board (9 Hours ago)
