Fracture: Demo video

The demo of Fracture is available on Xbox Live since a few hours, and I've uploaded this video of its tutorial part, showing how this rather atypical shooter works. I didn't expect much from this game, but this demo actually made it look quite interesting.

I liked it to some extent, the graphics were good, surprisingly, and it was mildly fun to play. But overall, very generic and very HALO meets Gears of War. But what pissed me off completely, is how (and like many other games these days) dumbed down the game is. Like, cool you can deform terrain to solve "puzzles" (push the ground up to get to that platform), yet everything is highlighted!! "create elevation here!!" Like, where's the challenge??
well it is a demo of the first level. im sure it wont be like that the whole game.

So I have played the demo and was pretty impressed.

The game certainly doesn't have enough star quality to make me purchase or even rent the game, but it is quite decent. I like the idea of manipulating the terrain to hide from enemies and stuff and it seems to actually be useful, which is good. The graphics aren't bad either, although that black guy's face looks weird...

Overall, not bad.

HAHAHAHA...funny stuff... :| ....

Gears 1 absolutely obliterates this game in terms of graphics and Gears 2 is even better looking.

It LOOKS good. But I don't know. It feels like an unsuccesful combination of other video games. There's some Halo, Brute Force, Masseffect, Unreal Tournament, and GoW in there. So far it SEEMS like another cookie-cutter shooter. The only innovative thing I see in the demo is the entrencher, and even then I think they're forcing that weapon to be an intergral part of the gameplay way more than they have to. You ever seen someone fail at making a healthy smoothie because they put too many things in the blender?.....yeeah.
