Looking good! Btw this game is coming out on the 360 first in November. The date for the PS3 release is still unconfirmed.

I think the graphics could be a little better, but if the game is as interesting as Lost Odyssey and Tales of Vesperia that I particularly believe the best in the 360, will be great for me.

in Japan the hype for this game is quite big - across both versions it might outsell all jrpgs released on the 360 till date combined (in Japan)

the battle system seems intriguing, although graphically it's a bit unpolished

the 360's been doing well in japan just lately..outselling the ps3, so this game can only help microsoft there..especially if its a times exclusive, or the ps3 versions delayed for whatever reason.

Hope they were aiming for at least 30 fps without screen tearing looking at the above screens...

The combat visuals arent too sharp in these shots because they are wide open spaces were they plan to have huge battles with dozens of enemies onscreen. The towns and small scale battles look great and so do the models in cutscenes. Its one of those games that doesnt come through in screens.

Reminds me of Dynasty Warriors looking at those screens :/
I think they where all ready trying to make some thing like this, the open battlefield style game , it was called Drakengar I think. As my memory serves me right it wasn't that good at all.

Drakengard was made by Cavia and because someone else made a crappy game with a similar gameplay concept, it doesnt mean that another developer will too.

Looks good as always :)

As I remember there was a PC version too right?
and what's with "low-budget/low-expectations JRPG" ...

This game is wearing a taudry dress from top to bottom!

Subpar, lackluster, mediocre and average is what comes to mind.

Gotta love this site with its terribly unprofessional journalists and even worse user base. It's one thing to tear into a game that's not a work-in-progress (in other words, a finished game!), it's another when the game isn't even done. Granted there isn't much time left but these are stills for crying out loud. People complaining about screen tearing when they have no clue what that is? Lol, I rest my case.

You're one of the users, willdabeast.

Anyways I'm really linking what I'm seeing. With stills I always imagin how it'd look in motion. And what I imagined looks good.

I agree. In fact, I believe the 360 has been, or at least was for a while, outselling the Wii too. MS is doing well. I wish Sony would just drop the price before they put themeselves out of the race.
Personally, I have seen nothing big about this game. The characters don't seem particularly interesting, it all looks like something I've seen befroe. I dunno, SOmething just gives me the feeling its missing some things.

looks poor in screens, but looks quite good in motion

Looks terribly generic and the backstory isn't very compelling. Seems like JRPG devs really are waiting for Nomura & Co. to show them how it's done. I just hope the PS3 version of FFXIII isn't compromised by their decision to port. FFXIII, Versus, and WKS... basically the only JRPG's I'm looking forward to.

360 will have a good holiday season and another big bump in sales when this drops in Japan. I'm looking forward to it myself here in the US.

UE3 is god awful at self-shadowing. Ugh. Anyways, looks pretty generic right now, but who knows? Looks can be deceiving.
