Wow, props to whoever get's that! It's games like this that make me wish I had a 360.

Yes 100000 kills, but not just online. Every kill you do contributes to that achievement, also campaign and that new survival mode. So it's doable... if you're mad and unemployed. I didn't even manage to break 10k in Gears 1 and I played that pretty constandly for 2 years now, appart from 4 months where I played almost exclusively Halo 3.

Can't wairt to get and play again =D

yeah seems abit silly putting this out right now...risks being overlooked by all the tgs stuff, though i don't blame Microsoft for not taking it to tgs..to be honest it was a wasted use of halo there too, i thought Microsoft were supposed to do their own special show to highlight the more hardcore games to be hitting the 360..i cant see that it made that much sense to reveal Halo 3's expansion pack to a pretty disinterested japanese crowd and not show it at E3 ..i mean they withheld Gears 2 from the show for a reason right?

Superb, these guys could just have slapped any old shit on that DVD and called it gears 2 and people would have bought it, but it seems like they've took a long hard look at gears 1 and listened to the community and really built upon the whole experience.

Purchase for me.

Wow I got scared there a moment, it took me exactly 1 year to get 10 000 without hosting.. as it roughly should take for anyone who didnt cheat with hacked savegames.

Looks like Epic have a superb game on their hands. I still dont trust them to weed out all the aneurysm bursting glitches but I can always HOPE they did a better job this time, and maybe not take MONTHS to of failed, repeated attempts to fix a glitch like weapon sliding (still not fixed, game 2 years old).

is me who thinks the game looks too smooth as far as environments are concerns, the first had destroyed buildings, but this everything seems smooth only grey

Ah yep, i completely afree with Joergen with the glitches in Gears 1.

Action is insane but grays are disturbing. I say, are they using the max payne 2 texture pack? more disturbing is how flat everything is especially the floors. They look to be from 'return to castle wolfenstein'. See:

Its tile floors, their supposed to look flat.

this is what i was getting at in a previous set of images or footage, lighting looks a little flat. and its the only thing thats letting the game down visually. it still looks amazing graphically (and art style is nice as well, i personally like the monotone look of games) but lighting is just very flat.

the more i see of the game the more im tempted to buy it tho. i wasnt a HUGE fan of gears. but this looks better in almost every way.

sorry but no, I was not doing the talk about tiles(and even they can look bulged, but not the case here) rather I was looking at those bullet marks on the floor you see near furniture. 'Black' in the PS2 generation had such a flat thing when bullets hit. don't get me wrong I am skeptic to Killzone's gray colors too, but gears2 totally relies upon textures(UE3 engine) and if this game is not having really cool and 'bulging'-looking textures then what other.

What bullet marks? All i see is paper? :S

The same can be said for KZ2 there are flat textures everywhere but that dose not take away from its great look, just know GOW2 will own all the xmas flat texture or not.

Gears of War 2 is the complete package. :)

Please anyone can pull the best pics out of a game they love and say that aswell but thats not the point, previews have clearly stated that KZ2 textures are not great, so pls take your fan googles off and just enjoy both great looking games.

In the first link, every texture but the one from screen one does look flat.

I'm not defending Gears weakspots. Gears mas many shitty textures, but when you think of the MP-map mansion, you'll see that Gears does have many great textures aswell. (especially wet objects and metal are great looking.)

Both games have good and bad texturing.
You take a wet floor from KZ2, so please compare it to wet floor from Gears....

I'm not trying to make Gears Of War 2 shitty looking game (or something like that) but It's annoying me when in every thread (80% of them aren't about KZ2) someone always must mention KZ2 and say something bad about it (especially graphics). I depend only on opinion from people who REALLY played it (not internet xbots and I don't need fanboy googles, maybe You...) and they never saw everywhere awful textures (only kids sitting in front of PC who never played it and only write on forums, saw them). And this screens are direct from beta (and aren't the best :p).

Just as I write in other thread, depending ONLY on SHITTY screens is the biggest mistake and the most stupid thing on this gen :p ONLY seeing game in motion and playing it can be trusted :p

Everything you just said applies to you too, i have seen you on a number of occasions call out a game on screens. But i agree that fanboys are the worst, but you must realise that in replying to them and getting pulled into a rant you make yourself look like one also, when all is said and done, both games look amazing, as for how well each game is received by the gaming press, well only time will tell,

Maybe but it proved exactly what balckhawks pointed out, that anyone can go and grab the best or worst screens of a game, basically it means nothing.
