EDIT: Streaming now working! The side scrolling is really nice! Really fast and everything but as soon as it switches to 3D it just looks awkward and doesn't really work! Unless the player is really bad or the controls are hard..
I'm quite interested now.. :)
Bad player or terrible controls?
I bet its a blast if you know the levels.
The videos where everything goes to plan always look great. When you know your way around '06 that looks brill too, and when you do it even feels pretty brill. It's once you know how the game treats a bad or average player that it's really telling of the game's qualities.
This guy pressed the spin button like three times when he was supposed to jump which really puts him in the category of knowing fuck all about how to play this game - or any 3D sonic for that matter - and the video shows none of the unfair cock-you-ups of the later three dimensional 'hog ventures. This seems at least on par with Secret Rings solidness, and here you control your forward momentum, removing the one biggest gripe with SaTSR.
So all in all, apart from wobbly nutty speed areas (right out of '06 where they were already HORRIBLE) and still kind of vague werehog gameplay details, I find it somewhat promising.
