Looks like another game for Christmas
I would love to see multiplayer as some sort of race against other players, while being able to tackle your opponents. It's a shame that there isn't any multiplayer, because it could have potential.
Anyhow: This is a must-have game of you want to play something different.
Sweet, but it doesn't look like I'll finish Valkyria Chronicles in time to play it, and I just recently got ABSORBED in this little game called Theresia. Gotta get the word out--almost no one even knows it exists
Example, i first played the full version at an early morning when i just got it in my mailbox, and i HATED it, not like the demo at all which i loved.
Easy maneuvers failed due to being off with the aim just a few pixels, and everything was just awkward.
Then i played it later on during the day, when i had actually, u know, woken up..
Omg what a great game, smooth, perfect, wonderful.
Then i played it later at night when i was really tired, omg what a horrible game, frustrating, cant even do the simplest of wallruns.
Then i played it the next day after a cup of coffee, omg what a great game..
LOL
But it was way way too short, took me 5 hours to complete, and i wasnt really rushing through it (well, as little as you can NOT rush through a running game).
So in that sense, not worth €60, at all.. The time trial modes are quite boring, since you are all alone, no story, no enemies, no nothing. It feels like one of those old games you played to death to just get better scores or times, because there was nothing better to play.
Well this winter there are soooo many great games, and i dont think i'll be playing this anymore after completing it. Even though i really really loved the art style and flowing feel of it.
In short of my mini-review, the downfall of an otherwise SUPERB game, is that it was just too incredibly short.
if you pursue extremely fluid non-stop action challenge, you should try it; if not, go next.
(i heard it was incredibly short)
Gameplay is smooth, controls are tight...the layout of the controls is PERFECT...the flow is brilliant etc etc.
This is a sneak peek of what games could be like in a few years time, it's one of those few games that actually has the balls to atleast attempt at progression rather than the usual "safe bet". Great stuff!
It's gonna roooock!!!!!!!
edit: nm, Wing Chun =D
