Lionhead and Microsoft are ready to roll out the Knothole Island DLC pack for Fable 2 on January 13th. The price is 800p, while a couple of items will be available for free for all users. A couple of images with these news were also released.

Microsoft press release:
Since the North American launch of “Fable II” on Oct. 21, more than two million gamers worldwide have embarked on a quest to reshape the world of Albion in the image of their hero. While gamers have been fast at work behind the Xbox 360 controller, the creators of Albion have been hard at work to bring Knothole Island to heroes worldwide on Jan. 13. Releasing over Xbox LIVE Marketplace for 800 Microsoft points, Knothole Island will introduce all-new adventures in “Fable II,” the winner of numerous industry awards including G4TV X-Play’s Game of the Year.

In the latest installment of Lionhead Studio’s Video Diary series, the developers reveal some of the challenges they faced in the final days of making “Fable II” and offer a sneak preview of Knothole Island. Senior Programmer Jonathan Shaw and fellow members of the team hint at the new quests, weapons, items and specialty shops available on this mysterious isle off the coast of Albion, as well as some of the quirky characters that inhabit it.

Also on Jan. 13, fans everywhere will be able to enhance their “Fable II” experience with a free content update* exclusively available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace. The free update will grant players a handful of gifts from the fine people of Knothole Island and will enable those who haven’t purchased Knothole Island downloadable content to continue the co-op action with their friends. Some of the fun items include: Knight’s Boots, Assassins Gloves, a special Weight Loss Potion, a collectible silver book and more. The update will also enable players to check their standing in over 50 new Leaderboards on Lionhead.com.

As an additional post-holiday treat for “Fable II” fans, Lionhead Studios and Microsoft Game Studios have created an all-new Knothole Island Premium Theme for the New Xbox Experience, available for 250 Microsoft points on Xbox LIVE Marketplace or Marketplace on the Web at http://marketplace.xbox.com.

Previous PR mentioned a "Resurrection Shrine" on the island that may do just that.

hahaha

it'd have to offer a good 10 hours of non-repetative/boring gameplay to make this worth while. cos that was what 99% of the core fable 2 game was and i really dont want to endure any more of that.

Simply stunning, now i can move my 120 hours of the most exiting game i have ever played to 150+ hours

I hope there are new trolls to hunt down too, but just the new changing cenery, quests and cool armor and items are enough to get me vastly exited

Drooling material

At least Epic knows it needs to fix it's game

Too bad Fable isn't as dependent on an online community otherwise they might fix it

The patch is coming at the same time as the DLC, to fix things like the Abbot glitch.

Funny how you guys seem less bothered about Fallout 3's millions of glitches though, including the Moriarty glitch, which is basically exactly the same thing as the Abbot problem. Moriarty doesn't appear if you visit the school before going to Megaton, making it *impossible* to progress with the main quest without restarting the game.

Not trying to claim Fable is perfect, but both games share very similar problems, and I personally enjoyed Fable far more than Fallout, and unlike Fable, Fallouts don't appear to be being fixed anytime soon, despite the fact there's also new content for that coming. Why are you critisising one and not the other?

Give it a rest, trolls.

I see lots of people complaining about Fallout 3 glitches...

Alot of the glitches in the game I found could be remedied by either restarting a mission (Hammer blocked me into a cage and wouldn't budge), or getting someone to follow you, then jumping to another region (Alex got stuck behind a tree in Bowerstone cemetery, so i couldn't complete the Till death us do Part mission. Got her to follow me, then jumped to another region, there she was!)

It's annoying, but the sheer charm of the game is enough to keep you going, especially when your wives start arguing because you forgot that one wife's favourite place is where the other one lives!)

Um, I got 1000/1000 in fable 2 and never ran into any of these glitches you people talk about.

More mindless Fable hacking and slashing... I don't think I care anymore.

ive played the crap out of both games and have NEVER had any glitches like this...

i got bored with fable... u just run around and stab somethin and theres no incentive to explore... plus u get a dog in fallout 3 from the scrapyard from, guess what? EXPLORING! :D

.... plus ive got a giant mutant freak following me in fallout along with my dog so thats like a plus plus lol
..... maybe ill go be a vampire lol

annnd fables incentive to explore? ummm..... gold? but... dont u get a ton of it if u buy some houses.. i mean u dont even have to play the game to get money... anyway this dlc is a skip

and no hard feelings ;D

It's not like that makes them not exist. My character froze and i could only walk in the very slowest speed if i held the L trigger down. How's that for a bug? Also my wife and child fell through the floor of our house and never returned. Awesome.

SPOILERZ BE AHED

Get your dog back? You mean you didn't choose love? Honestly, the two other choices were pretty meh :/ 1mil gold = useless if you had enough mind to buy some real estate, and resurrecting some virtual people you didn't even know isn't that altruistic :) That aside, Fable 2 was pretty fun game in the end but so was oblivion and I have yet to download anything other than knights of the 9 -.-
