You eat up objects to increase your size. It's almost like katamari except this time YOU are the one getting bigger, longer... harder?

You also poop out some stuff every once in a while.

looks as crazy as ever, if its a fun to play as katamari i'm sold. and one again, that is some impressive collision detection...especially on the "tree/hatstand" looking thing in the second to last screenshot.

i like the idea of the nobi nobi woman (seen in the last screen) which is like a communal nobi nobi. it takes each persons nobi length and adds it on to reach out as far from the world as possible. something like that anyway. crazy

KORN: the similarity to Katamari is what worries me. I loved the first Katamari Damashii, the problem is just that the game never got anywhere after the first game. Rolling shit up was hillarious, but when the second and third itteration came out and there was nothing new it got stale. Hope this one does something to mix the gameplay up a little.

it's great you can model something like this in 5 minutes can you go make
it and add some extremely awsome gamplay to it?!

ahh it will be so cheap that it really doesn't have to be the greatest thing in universe
i want it to be crazy and fun and i think that katamari creator can do it.
ahh and he is not guilty of third KD. and second was quite fun there were some
new things. and i want Katamari on my ps3... even if it's just bigger original.

i think the major difference in mechanics will automatically change the way the game plays. this certainly doesnt look like any katamari game i've ever seen, even if it does share the same common goal of increasing size.

KORN: no what i meant is how good will it hold up? Katamari only offered the one thing and i hope that this game will have a bit more variety in gameplay.

Sure thing, when do you need em? ;)

Seriously, i was just making a point of the minimal effort put into the graphics.

but you yourself said you loved the first katamari, a game that lacked variety, so it really shouldnt be an issue for noby noby either. now, if there is a noby noby 3 and it hasnt done anything to evolve and we're playing more of the same, then yes, i'd agree with you.

I'm loving all these small physics-based puzzle indie games, like Crayon Physics, Auditorium, Minotaur China Shop, World of Goo. Shows that smaller games are doing the crazy physics systems instead of the big-budget games relying on rag dolls or canned animations (nothing against them, though).

Given that people still play Snake or whatever it's called. I'm sure this will be a fun throwback to that game

yeah the graphics is worse than in KZ2 but it's just part of an art direction.
i am not really sure if i would like to se photorealistic Katamari Damacy for example.
yeah it could be funny but i like this simple world.
