Yeah...I got a massive blister on my thumb after only 30 minutes of play, I wanna play more and make more videos but my thumbs is killing me. I guess I'll put more up tomorrow. It's an awesome game though...I love it! :D I need a lot more practice though...still not sure how to pull off the Ultimate combos and such.

God, I can't wait to have this myself. ElFy running back and forth in the first match is hilarious. It'd be even better if they had him screaming and acting panicky.

OK now I have to dowload the video to see what the hell you mean by "ElFy"

That's just what I call El Fuerte. First 3 letters are ElF and he's quick and tiny. I just watched the stream as well, 600+MB is huge.

i really dont like the goofy art style of this game...hopefully the gameplay holds up well. cos so far no fighter this gen has been that great imo.

So, no Fightstick DJ? How are the D-pad controls by the way?
Commented on 2009-02-11 15:29:44
Yeah no stick...if I wanted to buy a stick I'd have to get divorced...lol
The controls on the D-pad are great (PS3) then only issue I have it blisters. Other than that it's amazing...the speed is just right and then online is totally lag free.

Man, this is cell-shading done right. I just got finished playing the new Prince of Persia, and to me, the art design doesn't know if it's supposed to be cartoony or realistic. But SFIV really nails that aesthetic to the wall.

I disagree. The look of PoP was pretty much perfect in my opinion, whereas SF4 could stand to be a little less cartoony with its designs.

You couldn't make this up: it's the exact same game as SF1 (don't start about graphics please.

The thing is SF2 was so good in its day that no fighting game could touch it for a long time and it's so old now that it's new again. Seriously though, the gameplay needed to be kept the same because it was already perfect for what it was, these videos reminded me how much I hated Ken and Ryu, everyone used them and constantly just threw Hadokens and shoryukens ad nauseum.

You'd think that there'd be at least a few new moves but based on what I see in that video that doesn't seem to be the case. Add on top of that Capcom's greed with the DLC packs and I see this game as a mere rental, nothing more. It's too bad because my favorite SF character returns here (Sakura)

Yes, but just call it a remake like Bionic commando: re-armed and sell it as a low budget game.

This is being touted as a true sequel and an amazing game.
If you like fighting games I don't see how you can pass this up at all.

JP version is region free and has selectable language.

For those wanting to get it early.

It's kinda sad I won't get the game, because playing fighting games on a home console just isn't the same kind of experience as in the arcades. Online is not the same as fighting a friend in the same room. I don't get deep into fighting games, just for a bit of laugh and fun. I hope SF IV comes to the arcades near here in London, though.

What's up?
  • digi_matrix
digi_matrix Paranormal Activity was insane, totally deserves being the most profiting indie film ever made. I saw the original version, not the theatrical one. WAY BETTER! (3 Hours ago)
  • SimonM7
SimonM7 Nope, no such prestige I'm afraid. Just 1½ year of comic making and ICQ channel community on quakenet of all places. :) 2002 doesn't sound far back but it's soon 8 years ago. Time sure does roar past. (10 Hours ago)
  • Megido
Megido Did you make comics and stuff for kong back in the day? The art looks similar :) (10 Hours ago)
  • SimonM7
SimonM7 Thanks a lot, it's great to hear that it's appreciated. :) (11 Hours ago)
  • alimokrane
alimokrane @SimonM7: Well keep it up mate. U certainly have what the talent ;) (12 Hours ago)
  • SimonM7
SimonM7 Thanks :D and yeah I do. M7 was originally a webcomic, and the idea now is to make it a bit of an entertainment blog in general and a webcomic. Only done two strips so far since I rebooted it in may. (12 Hours ago)
  • alimokrane
alimokrane @SimonM7: Dude That's amazing. Do u draw that stuff ?? (12 Hours ago)
