Page 1 2 >>Gotta be the first to say it though: wtf @ the glass shatter effect?
They put in some lame effects in the last one, but this certainly takes the cake
But really, I would hope it would take longer to come out as this series has fallen from grace. Maybe more time = a better game
Would've been a lot happier if this stayed PS3 exclusive, as I'd probably be playing it right now instead of waiting for work to finish on the 360 version.
No you wouldn't be playing it right now, unless you went out to the arcade. They announced this game and even showed a trailer right before the ps3 even launched and it still hasn't been released! How many other fighting games have been announced and released since then on both systems? There's obviously other issues at work here in regards to their development of this game. Don't bother trying to blame it on their decision to actually reach new customers on the xbox.
One thing is certain that there will be tons of extra stuff. Maybe even Tekken 4 style, like that Tekken Force mini game or some thing like that. Read that in some interview.
as for whether we'd be playing this on ps3 by now or not, im not sure, in it's original state, sure, but i think it's a combination of the 360 and the new version of the game that has made it take longer, not JUST the 360. but we at least get this improved bloodline rebelion version with additional content.
looks cool otherwise.
i wish they would get rid of those ugly looking smoky/fire effects when someone gets hit. They've been in every Tekken game since Playstation, and havent looked any better since.
looks cool otherwise.
what happened to all the sweat stuff they were hyping? I wanna see some sweat.
Omegaheat: what's wrong with paul? He's cool. And Panda/Kuma is just a classic character, can't remove them. Besides if you don't like pauls hairdo just customize him. If you don't like Kuma or panda well...that's just great cause they suck balls anyway. But really, just because you don't happen to like the character design doesn't mean the game is ass. It'll play great and it actually looks nicer than i remember it in these screens.
Since when were they hyping sweat? Because Jin was sweaty in the first trailer? Never heard anything about sweat personally.
well they said it was gonna be sweaty, and realistic. That was what the trailer showed. :D
I still think this looks pretty nice though. Not tekken 5 nice, mind you, but clearly passable.
Ofc this looks more technically advanced than Tekken 5 but for it's hardware Tekken 5 looks freaking incredible, something this game sort of fails to reproduce.
exaxtomundo. Thats what I was kinda getting at. At this time in this gen of games, it just looks plain. Nothing new. Which is why I was hoping for sweat.
Would've been a lot happier if this stayed PS3 exclusive, as I'd probably be playing it right now instead of waiting for work to finish on the 360 version. Anyway it looks good (but not amazing, as Tekken usually does)
Well good graphics in fighting game is a double edge sword. O one hand the game would look awesome with good graphics , on the other the online part would be unplayable. You need to have really good internet and plus you wouldn't be able to play against the world ( open type servers etc. ). I just hope that they make a unbelievable net code lag free etc.
Can't say I'm thrilled by the GFX. Actually at this time, when we get to see one incredible looking game after another, it looks quite dated.

It's one of Tekken's trademarks :)
