The combat looks so insane,Kamiya knows his stuff,just look at the level design so varied and over the top,runing vertical or horizontaly it doesnt matter Bayonetta will kicks anybodys ass hell yeah.

Because the first part was way better in terms of adventure, platforming and puzzle solving. And, for it's time it was incredible...a revolution in gaming. NG2 is technically underwhelming and brought nothing exciting to the table. The combat is still great, but in no way improved and even worse in certain aspects. Animations were barely updated either and the visuals were an even bigger letdown. NG2 also has incredibly cheap AI...

Well i'm not complaining as we haven't had a proper action game in this style since DMC3, but i can sort of understand why you'd want to see something new as well. Cause let's be honest, this looks VERY close to DMC. Replace Bayonetta with Dante and there you go, DMC5.
The combat has evolved through NG to NG2, but the core NG is still there, they just added decapitation to make you think more carefully on how to approach enemies, OTs, fast speed, and I hope they keep this combat all the time in NG games.
I agree I miss the platforming and such, but Itagaki said himself before the game came out that NG2 would be all action and it would be fast and intense.
And yes, in NG2, some of the AI is cheap because that's how they were designed (IS spamming bastards).
In terms of "killer" it depends on gameplay style.
NG is more refined and organized that needs alot of timing and wise attack choices. DMC is pretty much a crazy stylish game were you have to keep new attacks in momentum, and the air juggle is boring as hell (in my opinion).
God of War...well it's a button mashing game that the combat hasen't changed since GOW1, unless they do something about it in GOW3 (which I highly doubt it)
As for Bayonetta's combat, it is obviously going to be like Devil May Cry. Tap those buttons as fast as you can and keep the stylish momentum as high as possible.

I wouldn't go as far as to call it LOL, but it definitely was a bad choice.
But what i really like about it is it's originality. A lot of people will say its a DMC clone, but i still think it stands on its own, and even if it turns out to be a clone in the end, we really needed a true DMC4 because those series are quite something but the last game was pretty disappointing. I had my thumbs up for Ninja Blade, but it didn't turn out as i expected.
